Block halving is in 2017. We will see 10k $ before this happens. I think in 2017 we have already seen 50k $.
Stop talking nonsense without doing proper research first! This is completely wrong. The ETA for the halving is in August 2016! |

+1 With the difficulty (hashrate) continuously rising, we are finding blocks at a faster rate. Instead of 14 days, it usually takes 12-13 days to find 2016 blocks. Instead of 4 years, it takes less than that to find 210000 blocks. |

IMO, it will. We are at block 297333 now, and the halving will happen at block 420000. So, if we have a block every 10 minutes, it takes (420000-297333)*10/60/24 = 852 days to reach block halving (in Aug 2016). If we have a block every 9 minutes, it takes (420000-297333)*9/60/24 = 767 days (in May 2016). |

IMO, it will. We are at block 297333 now, and the halving will happen at block 420000. So, if we have a block every 10 minutes, it takes (420000-297333)*10/60/24 = 852 days to reach block halving (in Aug 2016). If we have a block every 9 minutes, it takes (420000-297333)*9/60/24 = 767 days (in May 2016). That's your opinion based on math from 3rd grade. Right now the ETA is around the 20th of August. In a few months it might move back to around the 10th and so on. Satoshi planned for it to happen in 2016, and we are solving blocks at a faster rate, due to which the halving is going to happen sooner. |

Say in 1 month + 1000. It would require at least 9 months. Now the coin will fluctuate in between, say it is fluctuating 50% of the time. This would lead to 18 months or 1.5 year. I would say between 2015.5 and 2018 it could be at $10.000. If it happens, people are really going to regret it.. there will be new forum members wondering when it rises to $100.000 |
