Google will never give Bitcoins a thumbs up. They might give crypto currencies a boost however, when they implement their own.

We may not be able to see huge companies accepting bitcoin anytime soon, but the number of small  bitcoin-accepting businesses is continuously rising. Smiley

Number of business listed on coinmap: http://www.bitcoinpulse.com/chart/coinmap/num_venues/total
More than 30000 businesses use bitpay to accept bitcoin payment. https://bitpay.com/directory#/

Virgin Galactic is big I'd say, the guy is very into Bitcoin. As for speculation, there are huge investments right now.

The price is around $400 now, and it was hyped by Mt.Gox, so yeah its going to take awhile.

Going from $1,000 to slowly back to $400.. talk about manipulating prices.

Don't get your hopes up or you'll be disappointed. It won't hit 500 for another 3 months, at least, for sure.

Just the other day I met a merchant who was looking for an alternative to big-bank payment systems---hadn't yet heard anything of bitcoin.  I think there's a lot of people who can use btc but haven't yet heard the word.

$10,000 could come around in a year's time. I am waiting for the ETF for Bitcoin to hit Wall Street. This may take some time, but it won't be that far off.

well $10,000 is hard.  BTC will be value over 60 billion.  Visa is valued at 120 billion.  Do you think it deserved to be valued 1/2 of visa?  Look at all the transaction that visa does..  In the US, more people use Visa then any other card.  Over 65% in my opinion.  Smiley we will be lucky to get 1 out of 10 people using BTC in 10 years.  Off course there are other methods to value BTC.

Maybe it doesn't have to have actually reached a value of over 60 billion - the possibility that it may one day reach that valuation could be enough to propel the price upwards.
