$10K looks like impossible, even just to reach $1000 It's very difficult.
If we are aiming towards full adoption then it's not impossible, it's a necessity.

I think we can all agree, we'd love for it to happen, but it won't.
Now $1500 is a good goal. $10,000 is a fantasy.

Hoping by the time bitcoin hits the mainstream in a year or so, it should be at least $10K if not more. Keep trying to convince my friends of investing in btc but a lot of them still don't understand it

This statement is nothing new. Only the decimal place keeps moving... Now $1.50 is a good goal. $10 is a fantasy. Now $15 is a good goal. $100 is a fantasy. Now $150 is a good goal. $1000 is a fantasy. Now $1500 is a good goal. $10,000 is a fantasy. Now $15,000 is a good goal. $100,000 is a fantasy. Now $150,000 is a good goal. $1,000,000 is a fantasy.

We are now entering law of large number. It takes a lot more money to pump it up.

This isn't advice. This is all just speculation. Exactly. Everyone in this thread were just stating their own speculation without any concrete evidence or argument to support it.

We are now entering law of large number. It takes a lot more money to pump it up. LLN applies to probability. Totally unrelated. Let me explain this as simple and irrefutable as possible. Bitcoin is a technology. Here is the adoption curve for many major new technologies. Now, apply the supply and demand model. Demand will be proportional to adoption. The difference between the price of a TV and the price of a bitcoin is that you can't increase the rate of new bitcoin production to outpace the increase in adoption. You can however, divide a bitcoin in to 100 million pieces, without reducing their ability to perform as designed. What does supply and demand say about scarcity? Get the picture? Adoption = price. It's as simple as that.

Some people are predicting 5k by the end of this year based on a book written by a doctor I don't know whether they doctor/writer has evidence or some sort of theory which is plausible or not because I have not read the book.

That would depend on the trend of movement of BTC and it's speed. Due to it's nature it's quite hard to predict but with increased publicity and use of BTC I think it might reach that price someday but asking When is a little too much and would lead to predictions based on nothing.

Just my wild guess, I predict the price to reach $1000 by the end of 2014, $3000-5000 in 2015, and $10000 2 to 3 years from now.

10K Is not possible. Quantum computers will destroy bitcoins. These computers will be 1000 times faster than current super computer.

Isn't Coinmart already a dead project (announcement thread made in Dec: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=369985.0, developer last active in Apr, while the site is still in demo)?
