Doesn't anyone remember when bitcoin went from 3 bucks to over 30 then back down to 2? This bear market has been a little longer than expected, but it will recover.. It may take months or even years, but it will get back to over 1k....

I told you guys for months. When everyone is expecting price to go up forever, it means it's time to short. Nobody believed me. Instead they mocked and ridiculed me.

When is it going to $10,000? Never. Soon it will be 10 cents. There are way too many coins hitting the market every day, and nobody buying. Just like beanie babies, if you make too many, the value falls. Bitcoin is inflating in volume 14% every year.. you'd need to be insane to buy now and hold through something like that.

So either Bitcoin is a long term hold or it isn't.  If it isn't then you are trying to save us?  You must live in the "glass half empty" world.  Or are you just trying to justify in your mind your decisions?
Why are you here?

I'm here to help people cut their looses. Many people message me, and I help them understand the problem with bitcoin and why it is better to cut loose now rather than later.

Like Ghandi said, the best time to cut your looses was 10 months ago. The second best time is now.

Speculation is all that anyone has to offer on the subject.  There is nothing but speculation to base that judgement on, and you might be right or you might be wrong based on your opinion and interpretation of the facts, such as they may be.
A fortune teller, or "Magic 8 Ball" might have just as much of a chance of being right at this point, and hindsight  is 20/20.

Exactly.  I'm just glad that for the first time I found something I am early into, and make no mistake we are very early into Bitcoin's life.  The volatility alone is just one indicator, and we are seeing wild daily swings of 10 percent or more, and for some perspective, a normal stock fund putting out 9 percent returns a year is considered good.

This is going to be like riding a bucking bronco for a while, and if you don't want to get hurt you don't ride the bronco at all, but if you want to win you nut up, hang on tight and at least try to enjoy the ride because this could be fun.

The title should be named $1,000 when?

Then my answer would be Late 2015.

$10,000 not in the next few years and probably never.

... if you make too many, the value falls. Bitcoin is inflating in volume 14% every year.. you'd need to be insane to buy now and hold through something like that.

This tickles me, it's like suggesting that soon the world will be underwater because there is so much rain. You aren't looking at the whole picture.

What's the real rate of inflation of the monetary base in fiat terms? When you compare BTC inflation to that you get a different picture altogether.

Then consider this increase is not continuous. If you think in timescales of years rather than in terms of the average btc troll's attention span you get a different picture again.

Then when you consider the total supply of BTC, how much is already out there (more than half). So in fact the supply is - in investing terms - drying up very quickly - you get a different picture again.

The big picture takes into account all these things and much much more. Focusing on one tiny aspect just shows a naive desperation and a outrageous short sightedness.

But then I dont think you really beleive what you are posting at all. I think you are being paid, ironically, probably in Bitcoin to shout it down so your employer can continue to acquire on the cheap.

All things considered it's the most plausible explanation.

"A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution" - Satoshi Nakamoto

Amazon an friends will drive price down in the mid to mid-long term.

All retail adoption will, as they just sell to cash which is constant selling pressure.

So many coins are still held by EA's that its hard to see this not going on for a while.

However there may come a break point where the companies beging to retain BTC for upstream purchases.

At 10K you have to wonder if you really want to cash out BTC any more to FIAT.

At 100K you probably would not cash out to FIAT

If the price is going up rapidly you are getting excited about your new paper gains and you want to hold but on the other hand you may need fiat in real life and you may want to cash out some of your gains to diversify a little bit in precious metals, something that will increase your humand capital or your children's or stocks

If it was going to stay at $100 it had plenty of chance to do that between the $266 bubble and the China bubble.

If it goes down to 100 USD people will surely be confident enough to
start buying like hell again, and we'll thus see the price correcting itself.

Exactly, we've seen this pattern before with bitcoin and all the same debates about it dying.  Overall trend is always up while the fundamentals are safe and they are stronger than ever currently.

People are buying "like hell" before 100USD and we need bad news to go to 100USD

The current state of the market has some stability at 400USD, we are not in the same market as in 2013, 2013 is like 5years ago
