I think the next bubble will be around $3000-$4000. We won't see $10,000 until 6.25 BTC/ block.
I tihnk it may take a decade to get on the 5 figure territory, let's hope it's sooner tho. A decade is fine and like you said it could be sooner. Let's try a precise date, just for fun : it will reach 10,000$ on May 12th 2019 (or 2016)

Maybe never...
There is only one way to stop this, it is breaking cryptography in the background of Bitcoin. Otherwise, the Time is on the Bitcoin's side. 2 years or 20 years, it doesn't matter. 10,000$ will be taken. There are only two ways. Bitcoin shall fall and crypto v.2.0 shall rise up from the sea that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name, my child. But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. It's totally happening tho, everyone knows that. TL;DR: Your coin is obsolete, my son! I was very bullish on 2.0's too but sidechains took the bitcoins back to the scene IMHO. v2.0 ? How do you plan to recognize 2.0 or 1.2 or 3.0 Beta or Release Candidate 1.9 ? Take a look at my post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=669623.msg9860776#msg9860776Currently, there are 1,000 ( One Thousand ) of Bitcoin's forks, probably, most of peoples doesn't recognize another forks amongst it. This section of "ANN" Alternate cryptocurrencies shall be splitted into at least three, like - "Forks of Bitcoin" - "Other projects" - "Other forks of other projects". This are NXT forks. Take a look https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=731923.0[ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New version 1.1.5 By the way, looks like this is rocket in the exchange. Looks like the number of similar to Bitcoin, chain-based, cpu/gpu/hdd based, etc, projects around already more than 10. I can predict, this number will be 100 in the next December of 2015. v 2,0? There will be A v0.1, B v0.15, C v0.2, D v0.5Beta... This what will happens.

Thats what I think too, and it will happen late next year or in 2016. Once it goes there it will remain in 4 figure territory.

If there was 0 chance of going to 10,000$, Bitcoin would not be interesting at all and you are losing time on this forum.

As long as Bitcoin's price moves, it's interesting.

Nonsense. The market is betting against Bitcoin because if it wasn't we will be at $10,000 or more. ~Rev. FatherBob

Yes 340$ is nothing to be worried about, it is an equilibrium price right now with miners probably selling a lot and maybe bitcoin holders are buying for christmas. The FBI auctions may have played a small role too. We will come back to 500$ in no time then 700$ 1000$ and more. All in 2015. Believe a little bit more in Bitcoin please!!

I think Bitcoin will continue to drop until somewhere around $200 and it will go up to $1000. Sometime in 2015.. I'm sure Bitcoin will continue to grow in the future!

Mid 2017, IMO. I believe this will be due to a sustained gradual rise rather than the rapid fluctuations we've seen over the past year and a bit, along with other cryptocurrencies absorbing some of the overall market share.

Most likely the bear sentiment we are feeling right now is due to people cashing out for the holidays. Bitcoin is great, but you may not be able to purchase every gift with Bitcoin. You will need fiat at some point and people are just following the trend. If you are in the same boat, then i suggest you gift digital or paper wallets to your folks. This should not make too much of a difference to the price, but at least it drives adoption of BTC and also saves you the hassle of converting to fiat for gifts.

I will be waiting till next year before any big btc purchase. I think by the end of Jan 2015 we would have seen the bottom and can look foward again. The price was never ment to be so high and we're just finding ground now, good time to get cheap coins. You should be asking about 1k before we think about 10k.

i'm also inclined to think that it may occur or before or after the block halving, so 2015 or 2017, not exactly in the year of the halving
