Mid 2017, IMO. I believe this will be due to a sustained gradual rise rather than the rapid fluctuations we've seen over the past year and a bit, along with other cryptocurrencies absorbing some of the overall market share.
i'm also inclined to think that it may occur or before or after the block halving, so 2015 or 2017, not exactly in the year of the halving July 2016. Also, it will not be gradual or sustained. This long of a process of capitulation along with positive fundamentals means we're probably going to see another violent upswing at some point. Reward halving in a year and a half will be significant.

That's what is annoying me more at the moment, the way the fundamentals are building such pressure that next upswing will be violent, explosive, a "twofer" at least. I would prefer a couple of more modest rallies and dumps.

Also more fuzz about bitcoin, so more people entering the game(most of them to lose money for older people like me)

impossible bitcoin price $1000 in this end of year
Probably it will start at January of 2015, Also, look at 2013 year, 2 great bubbles at onceOnce it will hit 5,000$, possible next bubble after a couple of months, with 10,000$, easy. Seems...

Just because it happened doesn't mean it will happen again the same way because the situation is different. Yet it is possible that the price hit 5000$ in 2015.

All of this speculation with Bitcoin at lows for the year, no one knows what is going to happen to Bitcoin. It might go up, it might go down, if we all knew what Bitcoin would become we wouldn't have these topics to begin with.

10.000$ when market cap will reach a value around 120 billions of dollar, not before. Do you think that is possible? I think yes, because 120 billion dollars in the world economy is not so much..

Ten thousand dollar is too much for bitcoin. I don't think that price will reach that value the next year, probably in 2017-2018

I don't think that price will reach that value the next year, probably in 2017-2018 It is not likely that the price will reach 10,000$ in 2015 but things could go crazy with the next bubbles poping up in the States. 10.000$ when market cap will reach a value around 120 billions of dollar, not before. Do you think that is possible? I think yes, because 120 billion dollars in the world economy is not so much..
Exactly the point. 120 Billions is not that much for a great store of value and mean of exchange when there is so much liquidity everywhere.

Can't speak for others but I meant when it 1st touches $10k. How long do you think there'll be between it first touching $10k & then being more stable around that figure?

Ten thousand dollar is too much for bitcoin. I don't think that price will reach that value the next year, probably in 2017-2018 It isn't too much. I agree that it's a lofty valuation currently, but not if bitcoin achieves its full potential in the future or next few years. Keep spreading awareness and we'll see some decent gains if we just have patience.

Not in a Lifetime. No reason to raise to 10k, unlikely the Dollar Crash to 1/10000 from now.

Not in a Lifetime. No reason to raise to 10k, unlikely the Dollar Crash to 1/10000 from now. If the Dollar loses 7% a year for 10 years it will lose more than 50% of its value in 10 years : 100*(0.97)^10=0.48. The inflation on some products have been 7% a year or higher for the last 10 years. There is a lot of liquidity everywhere; if only a tiny portion of it goes in Bitcoin, a few hundreds millions Dollars, maybe a Billion, the market cap will rise to hundreds of billions and the price of Bitcoin will go higher than 10,000$. It's not science fiction to see a price of 10,000$ a coin soon even if it seems incredible now.
