Unfortunately 10,000 will never happen.  It had high hopes to begin with but it looks like it is finally going to crash:(

Dude it's not going to crash. And a crash only means more cheap Bitcoins for people like me who are in the long long long run (10+ year). We'll see who wins at the end.

It loses some value during one year and you don't believe anymore. Please sell your coins to someone with a bit more belief.

It lost quite a bit of value in one year actually.  It went from 1200 to 300 in 1 year.  It has consistently gone down this year too, with a few spikes here and there, but the trend has been downward since January.  Of course I don't want it to fail, but if it looks like it is, I am going to say, it looks like it is failing.

On January 1st 2014 the price was about 800$ not 1200$

Going from 800$ to 320$ doesn't mean it's failing! 3600 new bitcoins are created everyday and the price we had a year ago was apparently not sustainable

Dude, Bitcoin price went from $32 to $2.5 in 2011. That's the same as going from $1200 to $94.

It looked like it was failing to many people back then. Yet it wasn't, it was just a correction. Bitcoin does this and it will probably continue doing so for some time.

In 2011 it hit bottom far faster then slowly started climbing. This year it took far longer to reach the current low point and if there are lower lows to come it will have been going down for over a year. The current cycle seems much slower than the 2011 one.

Yes, there are way more market participants and everything is bigger, so things move slower. That's how I see it, too. Where does it put us regarding a recovery above $1200 (maybe even $10k)? My best bet is that 2015 will look like 2012 (generally sideways) and we'll see a rocket in 2016, which incidentally is the year of the next halfing. (But I would be pleasantly surprised and have no objections if we break out 2015.) If 2016 doesn't bring prices well above 1200, paint me worried.

Every point of your view is in agree with mine. Think the your same thing. But no one can know what will happen, so if you trust in this technology go next, if you not trust withdrawal your money and don't think what will happen.

The volatility is very high and the 3600 new BTC mined everyday doesn't help support a price when the sentiment is very negative.

You know what Ghandi once said (paraphrasing, can't find the exact quote): "Mind comes before things. The mind decides".

Quote from: Ghandi
Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.

(bolding mine)

See the connection?

I truly believe in the teachings of Ghandi.  So many times you are what you say you are.  Its funny how life works and how powerful the mind can actually be.  I am not saying you are going to start moving things with your mind, but I will say the people who are "lucky" turn out to think they are going to win going into something.

I think another thing that has changed is that there are all these new ewallet services from google and apple and whatnot.  Two years ago, bitcoin seemed to be the only thing in this space.  Now, google and apple have entered and that is tough competition.  Note that I'm not saying these services from these companies are necessarily comparable to bitcoin.  But from the public's perspective, they are both epayment systems that aren't credit cards.
