Is there anything new in this coin for the world, community and technology?

Nope.  Nothing new here except the chance to own the only unofficial coin of the afterlife.  Wink

Just to reiterate for those that have not read the entire thread.

This coin is likely to have tremendous problems very soon.

Another clone of Litecoin, using the Litecoin diff algo - which means max diff adjustment of 400% upwards, and uses expected versus actual block height to determine next difficulty

As of this post, we are at block 2601 right now.  With 1-minute block times, we shouldn't be hitting block 2601 until 43.5 hours after the coin launch.  We are over 10x ahead of schedule right now in terms of block height.

This means at the next diff adjustment, regardless of the current network hashrate, it will go up the max 400% of current diff, which would be 4.0, even though the net hashrate demands roughly 2.8 for the next diff.

Depending on how far ahead of schedule we are after that diff adjustment, it may go up even higher - even as the net hashrate continues to drop.  Within a day or two, network block times will be measured in hours, not minutes.

It doesn't appear this is happening.  We just passed the block 3240 adjustment and the difficulty went from 1.9 to 1.6.  We are still ahead of schedule as you pointed out but the adjustment should only be based on the previous 360 blocks.  I'm not sure what went wrong at launch but it seems to be adjusting fine now.

FYI....With block halving occurring every 6000 blocks we are over halfway to 5000 ETC block rewards.  If the average block time stays around one minute we will be halving about every 4 days.

Not to mention there's already over 3 million coins in circulation in less than 24 hours.

Mining this Smiley Where can i find future plans/goals?

Thanks for your question.  In the short term we would like to get this coin to an exchange.  That way those holders that would rather have BTC or fiat instead of saving up for the afterlife may cash out at anytime.   Grin

Seriously, our plans do involve an exchange as one of the first steps in order to gain exposure and the ability to be listed on coinmarketcap.com (which equals more exposure).  At that time we will be working extensively to gain merchants that are willing to accept ETC.

no github?

Note: We are not affiliated with the previous EternalCoin.

Announcing the release of ETERNALCOIN "your coin for afterlife expenses"!

Launch Countdown: LAUNCHED!

Theology

Have you ever wondered exactly how you will pay for necessities in the afterlife?  Of course you have.  We all worry about such stupid things.  Well, worry no more.  Simply point your miners to EternalCoin (ETC) on April 10th and begin amassing the kind of fortune only the most righteous of souls have dreamed about!  Gone are the days when you needlessly worried about building a bank of points to get where you want to go.  With ETC you are almost guaranteed an afterlife seat next to those that look down upon you in this life based on your chosen lifestyle.  Heck, you may even be able to buy them as your servants.  How cool is that?

We are launching this scrypt based ticket to freedom on April 10th.  Be sure to visit this post often for updates.

Coin Specs

  • Scrypt based POW (proof of worthiness) (regular scrypt miners will work)
  • Initial Block Reward: 10,000 ETC
  • Block Time: 60 seconds
  • Block Maturity: 5 confirmations
  • Difficulty Retarget: 6 hours
  • Block Halving Rate: 6000 blocks (rewards early followers)
  • Max Coin Supply: 120 million ETC
  • Premine: Of course!  This life changing shit wasn't cheap to procure.  0.83% (approx. 1.0 million ETC in the form of the first 100 blocks for bounties and past and future development fees)

Pools

1. http://etc.pitythepool.com (Thanks Mortimer452!)

2. http://etc.sumpool.com

Hey Development,

Can you tell us your goals and what you are working on atm ?

It will boost the gain into a coin a lot if people know its not only for a dump.

Also what voting for exchanges do you have already ?

LET YOUR VOICE SPEAK AND PPL WILL FOLLOW

As we've stated here before, this is a Litecoin clone with a few parameter changes.  No need for github in our opinion.
