Seems like they are changing it so the can trademark it too, I think no one should buy into this scam.  Another greed looking to make money off of trademarking leave the old bitcoin be.

the 2 vertical lines in the dollar symbol are actually a hack of the original symbol (a U super imposed on an S).  so I don't necessarily agree they should carry over to BTCitcoin.

I greatly enjoy the new symbol (looks Euro   )

Question is WHO is promoting this and for what reasons. From a symbologistic perspective it does not look healthy or positive in any way, but like a B stabbed in the back. The currently dominating symbol with the two rays on the bottom and two on top looks much more balanced and 'healthy' - a bit like those images of space-alines on ancient rock carvings…

I see no reason why we need a new symbol that a group of idiots can trademark and then try to sell to everyone else at (for them) hopefully a nice sum. It's basically self-perpetuated highway robbery. BTC is just fine as it is 'industry group' be damned.
