I prefer the old one and the vast majority of my products are the old one. There are MANY variations on the logo including the below one dash style:

Saw the story earlier, was going to post about this- glad I checked first. Anyways, I also say old, hands down. Someone in the comments said they were surprised to hear Bitcoiners fear change. I don't see it as that, at all. This is not change for innovation or any improvement- in my opinion. This is unnecessary change. The original is so well known now, at least among anybody that remotely follows BTC. Why change? Just because some "industry members" think we will fit in better among society with that? In my opinion Bitcoin isn't about changing to suit the masses, but the masses making changes to accept Bitcoin. Another person said in the comments, instead of changing to an existing Unicode symbol, make suggestions that Unicode adopt the BTC. I agree. And I'm not sure how I feel about "industry groups" trying to make changes, that just doesn't feel right to me. Don't even get me started on pushing for XBT instead of BTC...

Not that it really matters (everyone is free to use the symbol they prefer), but I actually like the new symbol better.
Here's my logic: everyone knows1 the first iteration of a new technology is a flop. People want the version where all the kinks have been worked out. By moving to this symbol, the perception in the public will be that this is a new, better, faster, cleaner, environmentally-friendly and ideologically-tolerant version of bitcoin.
1By "knows" I mean completely misunderstands how an open source protocol like bitocoin and a distributed ledger like the blockchain will naturally evolve to best meet the needs of its users.

That's not the new symbol with the horizontal dash through the B on the links you sent me though. My Point was, that you can easily Change you Keyboard to write any Symbol that is Unicode.

New one looks shit. Stick with the classic one, though it could be tweaked to look more snazzy or modern.

Has to be the classic one. The Euro was "invented" then adopted and its symbol was integrated and in not too long a time considering. Proof if it were needed that all things are possible if the will is there. Original double strike B for me pls

It is half as popular as my more standard Bitcoin Accepted sticker but I have still sold hundreds of them all over the world.

The old one is fine for promotion and marketing Bitcoin.
The new one is fine for unicode, writing, and hopefully incorporating into our keyboards soon.
Why should bitcoin change. Unicode should add a new symbol.
