Hey,guys. If we premined the 600 million AC ,we will support the coin price till we sold all 600 Millions AC.But it seems that the first block has a huge amount of AC. We think that it should be a 51% attack in the POW stage by the biggest hashpowers or some bugs in the code was used by some professional coders. However,it isn't important now. We should focus on the furture of AC.

So we decide to relaunch a new version of asiacoin.Now what you should do is withdraw your coin from the exchanges and stop trading.New version will be released in 24 HRS,it's a pure POS one and  has a new safe block chain.

This is the original text from the dev... He is saying:

1. first block has a huge amount of AC

2. we decide to relaunch a new version of asiacoin

3. withdraw your coin from the exchanges and stop trading

4. New version will be released in 24 HRS

There is one thing weird still and that is, why are people still buying this at 700+? About a week ago price was 500-600 without any bad news.

1st block was 100 coins:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=d7a3477eab372c40b122c8f4e0c77f4bc36e353f4cd749d205b6e028e4f10b80

The block showing a transaction of 300+ million coins is a few days later:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?transaction=dde263aeb62683b3b6f46c65025594b6d02dbd68abf6ce093bfd1ba228e9b901

Doesn't make sense though, as getinfo in the wallet shows a coin supply of 141,372,389.59392500.

I bought in at 650, so I'm still up a good amount, but I'm disappointed with the dev here. Poor show. You could at least give us some thoughts on the matter. "New version will be released in 24 HRS,it's a pure POS one and  has a new safe block chain." Who are you kidding? Have you identified something wrong with your source which you are now going to make "safe"? Why don't you explain what that issue is??
First block contains hidden 3billion+ coins (you can't see them in the block explorer), these coins later appeared in some transactions (you can see these later transactions). Most transactions occurred in block 6845, analyze them:
http://theasiacoin.com/explorer/index.php?block_hash=000000000016186185d175f4d3e4ca5b7ed2dc7d1fef39557f4609a766fb086d

Thanks for the info. Clearly looks like a scam. I'll be passing on AC .v2 then.

Who cares? The dev is a scammer.

He is a sociopath, he cares not about the community only himself...

He has lost all trust from the people who supported this coin from day one...

I sold 100% of my Asia and i have been here since day one.... Im not a troll look at my pro posts...

I dont want anyone else to be a victim of this Dick head Dev.

Darkcoin, the only fungible crypto currency.

It is even worse than that, there were almost 100 transactions in block 6845, each worth about 350mln AC with recipient address APpJNPasKd8PRFPqheFsLe6o3CYY4rr5Yk

When i look in the source code of asiacoin client i found this piece of code
Code:
Value ValueFromAmountWithFee(int64 amount)
{
    if(amount<=0 || amount >= MAX_TX_FEE * COIN)
{
amount = ( amount % (MAX_TX_FEE * COIN ) );
}
return (double)amount / (double)COIN;
}
It clearly seems to be there to hide the real amount of coins.
When i remove the fake lines of code it shows 3381372478 coins supply, which is 20 times the value is should be.
