That signed laptop looks pretty badass.

Indeed it does; the contest software wants too much access to my facebook profile for me to be willing to enter, though.

Quote
Social engineering, in the context of information security, refers to psychological manipulation of people into performing actions or divulging confidential information. A type of confidence trick for the purpose of information gathering, fraud, or system access, it differs from a traditional "con" in that it is often one of many steps in a more complex fraud scheme.

i highly doubt Razer and gearbox are really looking to run a social engineering scheme on you via facebook likes  Roll Eyes
if you're really that worried about it create a secondary account that doesn't have any of your real info on it.

Clicking Like doesn't grant the site FB privacy permissions, that would be an obvious prompt.

Saying that you don't trust someone because of their behavior is completely valid.

Correct; clicking Like didn't work for me, and the other option gave me the prompt for access. I tried again a little bit later and it worked, so I suspect it may have just been an issue with my phone's browser.

By the way...you just spent more time replying 2 times to this thread, than you would have entering the contest.  You are pretty smart, huh?

Actually, you get .0005 per constructive post, which these are not, and I will be PM'ing the person paying you to advertise, so they are aware that you are simply posting crap to inflate post count.  Quoting this so even if you delete it, he can see it.  Keep being a douche.

I don't understand why am I a douche?

because I won't play a contest I will never win?

I can enter it 10 times if I want to and I will still not win, luck never favors nice guys

besides creating a new e-mail just so I can see if I won is too much of a hassle for something I will not win

better spend some time doing what I like

if you don't like it you can buzz off, I don't tell you what to do, besides if I don't play better odds for you to win Wink

i'd love to win that laptop, the one i have now can barely run bodhi linux.
might just end up stripping out the LCD in it and hook it up to my PC, then scrap the laptop.
