Hmm, I can't vote here either.  Is there a minimum requirement to take part in poll votes?

Here is a question: If one had 1000 Bitcoins, today, and you wanted to hide any connection to yourself, using an altcoin how would one do it? Not that I only have 1000 BTC Tongue
Using a mixer would be much easier than waiting to buy some altcoin(s) for such a big amount of BTC.

@ontopic

I'd go with ANC since the developers have proven that they're working hard.
DRK sucks big time. Huge instamine. ( Not sure if merchants would be happy to say "We accept dark coin" )

Hey, smexy. Don't waste your time. Time's precious.

none of these coins wont succeed cause they dont really bring anything different.  If one of the coins had some intrinsic reputable backing, im sure it could do very well if it making people money in the later years.

I doubt it's possible to create the key in a trust less manner. Read: DOA.

Are you willing to put your money where your mouth is? If coinjoin is obsolete, would you be willing to make a bet ( with escrow) to trace a Darksend transaction?

digicoin, you are wrong, especially with the point of view on Bytecoin

https://forum.cryptonote.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11&start=10 - CN developers confirms that there were about a dozen of mining group with 10-30 miners in each group.

The CN developers have already been irrevocably proven to have purposely faked the dates on their whitepapers (among other things) and are, by default, untrustworthy.

It would be unconscionable of us to take this claim at face value, we must, unfortunately, assume that they are lying about this as they lied about many other things.

I bet it would be Darkcoin and Bytecoin: both are true anonymous unlike other coins

Hmm...iI was thinking that would be cloakcoin or darkcoin according to the poll. But what poll really means? After I've read an article about statistics and , in particular, about polls , I've understood that data can be fabricated, especially, than it is comes to the world  web

So, according to the pool the winner would be either- cloak coin or dark coin, however, it doesn't mean that they are really anonymous and promising coin

No but that discussion we are currently doin underneath this poll is quite improtant. For example it just turned out that CLOAK is not so advanced with trustless anonymous transaction processing as they thought they are. If we would reset that poll today, I guess results would look totally different.

For DRK we will have the review of Kristov Atlas soon, so we'll also know how trustless and anonymous the Darksend+ system is. Interesting times ahead.

Its obvious that the only real anonymous coins are based on CryptoNote like Monero and Btyecoin. Darksend is only a external feature to Darkcoin. Can someone please explain to me why CryptoNote does not get the credit it deserves?

A little heads up to everyone investing in anon coins:

When paradigm shifts occur in the business world, entire industries disappear overnight. This may well be the case with the broad range of anon solutions & coins currently out there.

The BTCD teleporting method is entering beta testing. If you are not familiar, it involves anon transfers outside the blockchain of not just BTCD but any coin, including BTC.

It is designed to be a functioning and untraceable system, with zero public records and no blockchain bloat. Outside observers can see your BTC address balance go up and down - but nothing else. And the system is designed to be connected to an anon debit card.

The point being that if this moves out of beta as anticipated in the next 30 - 60 days, you may want to reevaluate what percentage of your portfolio is in these other 'anon' coins. The landscape could shift quite rapidly.

Disclosure: i myself have reduced my holdings of several anon coins - promising as they are - and increased my BTCD position.

I'm betting pretty heavily on Monero (XMR)  Cool

It provides a superior anonymity solution to DRK or other cryptos as it doesnt even have a blockchain to search. With the code being written from scratch and a strong dev team it's expected to compete with Litecoin and Darkcoin in the coming year (We've already been seeing massive selloffs in DRK and LTC recently, while Monero XMR has been holding strong)
