*BCC has been handed over to NEW Managment, as well as the IPO, the AirDrop, and everything else

The Ticker change is due to growing concerns over a few other coins carrying the same BCC ticker. A new wallet with the updated Ticker will be out shortly, but is NOT mandatory and will simply include name/ticker and logo changes, so Wallet version 1.5 WILL still work fine for everyone.

PLEASE UPDATE TO v 1.50 IMMEDIATELY IN ORDER TO RECEIVE AIRDROPPED COINS
[Wallet version 1.5.2 has been released with updated coin graphic and ticker, links below(NON-Mandatory Update)]

The Airdrop
We are not airdropping coins to citizens of any particular country. We believe crypto is for everyone and no particular country should get an advantage. Hence, we will be distributing TALK to members of bitcointalk.com which has the most diverse community with people from all over the world. As the new devs, we are implementing a new method of obtaining coins for the AirDrop called "Proof of Participation" (PoP). The following methods are how you can get TALK:

     1. Follow us on twitter and tweet to us using #Bitcointalkcoin with your address in the tweet

     2. Use our brand new "Airdrop Super Script" found here -> http://bitcointalkcoin.org/

     3. Simply use one of the exchanges that will be airdropping TALK

The original list of TALK addresses will still be honored as well. (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-44Y21DQq9wQ1nm_9jPZpy-9Zht5YAECcnobqEWEUc0/edit?pli=1#gid=0)
The "Airdrop Super Script" is a faucet designed to keep the coin distribution fair and equal.
A list of exchanges and the site for the Super Script will be announced here on the day of the drop.
We Will be giving away 20% of the AirDrop per week for 5 weeks.
More info can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=581845.msg6358442#msg6358442

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Cheesy we did not know about that coin! But they are giving out a very minimal portion of the premine to members here. We are giving away practically all of it Smiley

Maybe you should reward investors based on their bitcointalk "activity" level. If it really is a bitcointalk coin, then those who have been here the longest should reap the most rewards, right?

so if the price increase by 5 times the last stage ipo price, each coin is worth 1 BTC. That would be nuts

5 times the last stage of ipo price will make it 0.1 BTC not 1 BTC Smiley ,which we think will be the opening price!

Considered this but it would make it extremely complex and will lead to confusion in the investors.

Sounds reasonable. It's pretty easy to make 100 accounts with few posts I believe, but it will be almost impossible to create few active accounts without spending time posting here))) So, I would establish amount of member's stake based on his activity, registered date etc. Just made account with few posts - you'll have 1 coin. Hero member - 10,000 for example. That wiill be fair.

Anyone who created an account before the announcement of this thread would be given coins, no one who made an account later!

Why scrypt? There are so many better algos around...

With about 60 mil coins there will be 30 mil coins premined.

30 000 000
100 BCC/User
=300 000 User Huh

Didn't know that there are so many users here. And if you're right more than 90% are inactive, so the most coins will go into nirvana.

I don't like the distribution. It would be much more effective to distribute the stakes to active member, who can apply for the coins.

Update:
We will distribute coins to active members who PM us their address within 20 days from beginning of the airdrop! Coins will then be sent out over a period of another 20 days to avoid dumping.

Yeah that's better.

But how will the distribution work? Let's say there will be 2000 members who PM you. So the 49% will be divided to those members?
Will there be a public list of all members, who PM you their address for more transparence?

Yes an excel spreadsheet with addresses will be made public.
We will work in a fully transparent manner.
