The Airdrop
We are not airdropping coins to citizens of any particular country. We believe crypto is for everyone and no particular country should get an advantage. Hence, we will be distributing BCC to members of bitcointalk.com which has the most diverse community with people from all over the world. As the new devs, we are implementing a new method of obtaining coins for the AirDrop called "Proof of Participation" (PoP). The following methods are how you can get BCC:
1. Follow us on twitter and tweet to us using #Bitcointalkcoin with your address in the tweet
2. Use our brand new "Airdrop Super Script" found here -> address to site
3. Simply use one of the exchanges that will be airdropping BCC
A list of exchanges and the site for the Super Script will be announced here on the day of the drop.
We Will be giving away 20% of the AirDrop per week for 5 weeks.

I understand the PoP part, but it seems as though it'll be difficult to evenly distribute the coins if you don't know how many people are going to actually participate. If 300 people participate the 1st week then 2nd week another 150, etc, etc, how do you know what % the people in week one should get? And I don't have a twitter account so that means I'm out? EDIT: Or is it a choice between one of the three? EDIT2: Just rambling here. If it ends up being a set amount of BCC per task, I assume the rewards will either be big enough that it'll be first come first served or there will be a bunch of coins left over for the devs to divvy amongst themselves. |

any twitter distribution is not a fair distribution and totally against the spirit on crypto. many people in this forum do no like or use twitter and a godo percentage of the worlds pop is banned from using it. but for those who its not banned for can make a zillion fake accounts.

If it ends up being a set amount of BCC per task, I assume the rewards will either be big enough that it'll be first come first served or there will be a bunch of coins left over for the devs to divvy amongst themselves. you can chose any of the three. nothing has changed from the list, no additions from the closing of the list and there will be strict sorting for duplicates even during the airdrop itself, from the conversation in irc i understood pretty much that this is all to help advertise the coin and bring in more people, investors etc... there will be a tipbot and lots of tips for everyone too. the ANN needs a lot of correction to be completely understandable of what the new team is planning, so follow them in freenode and ask for details, it's pretty interesting. |

Originally it was going to roll out over a couple of weeks to avoid everyone dumping at once... So that has maybe just been made a longer airdrop process... But the airdrop is still starting on the 17th. My wallet has synced... are you on the right version? The future of BCC is actually better that it was a couple of days ago. New wallet seems to be working ok... has been running for a few days with no crashes and stays in sync. I do have one concern though... The last transaction I had was on May 13th, and in 3 days it has only gotten 388 confirmations. Has the block generation time been altered, or is something not quite working right? Shouldn't there still be a new block every 60 seconds?

This means the 49% premine: 31,145,301 will no longer be divided to the ~1200 members on the original list but also used on other things like the super faucet. How much coins will be divided to the ~1200 members on the original list from the first dev?Hopefully this new dev team will do a better job at marketing this coin, so I wish you all the best!
