After reading about the Mark Zuckerberg v Winkelvii rivalry, ...

I don't think that Zuckerberg really gives a crap about the Winklevii. He gave them a token amount of money so that they would stop pestering him and he could just ignore them.

Holding A grudge after the amount of money made I'd think is silly but I can't speak for them.  That doesn't mean that there isn't some competition however.
Well if the Winklevii do defeat Zuckerberg in the long run they it will probably be made into a new movie instead of Facebook the Movie
It will be Bitcoin the Movie or something lol.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If the case is so, then good for both of the parties. Anyway... right now Zuckerberg is at least 100 times richer than the Winklevii. But the only ones who supports the bitcoin is the latter.  Grin

I suspect the Winklevii may be richer than Zuckerberg by 2020.

With BTC it will never happen.

FB would more likely create their own coin and sell and accept it.

I think it's very unlikely.

Facebook doesn't need something like BTC.
They can use FB$ based on the US$

Yea correct, they do not need something they cant control (I dont say they control USD) ... and ufortunately btc is still very volatile and there is security hole often, so its unstable in this way.

But anyway, if FB or any other big website starts accepting btc, its price would go very high Wink

It's kinda strange that they haven't already made a bitcoin acceptance. Hope Zuckerberg will make it soon.

They'd probably rather sooner implement their own payment system. I'm sure they're looking at their options. I don't think it'll be long before we start seeing centralised cryptocurrencies from certain corporations.

We could just make a Facebook app. If you want to send money to someone, it posts on their wall or a message is sent their money was sent. Then they go to the app to redeem it. You could send like .0001 bitcoins to all your friends and get crazy interest.

It would be great if Facebook will accept it! This will definitely would help bitcoin to become more popular among casual people. Also it would be nice, if they add feature of tipping for good posts!  Smiley

I would rather wait for more official info.

Such fact would be great for everyone and I personally expected some kind of indi application for such thing.

Clearly the video in the OP link is broken if you actually try to play it through the site. Please know what you're talking about before flamming me. Thanks for your comments though.
