CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

xss.charityminingpools.com - UPDATED SITE AND WALLET

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.75% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups, DDOS Protection
0.75% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 0.75% Pool Fees

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.75% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.75% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I am also supportive towards adding POS but could we also add POT (like Fluttercoin has)?

POS would encourage saving and holding coins and POT spending and doing transactions.
I don't know it could be a perfect combo  Grin

We know our miners/investors primary goal is to make money.  Stability Shares would also like to help less fortunate people in the process.

Please take a minute to vote for us on cryptogiving http://www.cryptogiving.com/?page_id=109

Well I don't really know how it works "under the hood". I just found this proof of transaction mining an interesting addition to further secure the blockchain and offer some incentives for using coins.  Here's something I found from Fluttercoin thread:

"its based on addresses in the previous block converted to a hex format, a snippet of that address then used to search the previous block hash for matches, if there is a match the address receives part of the mining subsidy.  Its not very easy to have a match.  Because of this, there is additional checking the verifies the coinbase transactions including address, value, size etc further securing the blockchain and eliminating the possibility of disabling the functionality."

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tip.  The issues with that pool yesterday for our community were resolved.  I haven't heard any other issues with them, so I won't comment further.

Please do a little bit of research before using any pool.

you should seriously considering to eliminate the risk factor in mining. A pool that collects all your income at first always has the risk of either robbing themselves or getting robbed by a third party. there are always security risks in any platform.
A p2pool does not collect the income in any way. it creates the payout table at the moment the block is created and distributes the payout list (block generation code) among the whole network - which is essentially why we are doing this whole crypto currency stuff, aint it? security? no manipulation possible? you only need to use your wallet softwares rather than paying out directly to exchanges. Using the currency wallets associated with the currency itself is part of the fun!
