No, buys are done on poloniex, currently.

pcmerc~

That's interesting. I hold my XSI on Bittrex and when I noticed movement on the price I saw that there were a lot of significant buys going on. I mean like, .3, .5, and .7 btc worth of XSI being bought. Until now I thought it was just the multipool doing its job but if it buys from Poloniex then that must mean that there is someone/people out there that are serious about XSI as well.

Probably one of the safest coins to hold right now.

Thanks Pyramusx!  I am a little biased but totally agree with you.

There are several things we could release now to hype StabilityShares, but instead we will work hard behind the scenes and will provide details when we are closer to a release date  Grin

More coin-newb questions:
Where is the total number of XSI in circulation provided?
Is the multi pool mining other alts and then selling them for XSI and distributing the purchased coins, or does the mining also include creating new XSI?
Ive looked, but the info sources discovered do not provide these details.

Questions and constructive feedback are always welcome  Grin

1.The total number of XSI in circulation is about 7.33 million currently.  PoW ended a few weeks ago, so you can only get XSI by purchasing them on an exchange or earning 3% interest on your unlocked wallet.
2. Multipool mines other coins then sells them and purchases XSI.  pool.stabilityshares.com
3. The block explorer http://blockxplorer.com/chain/StabilitySharesXSI, and www.coinmarketcap.com are resources where you can find the # of XSI.

I'm gonna pull my 30MH off the pool, I think I can do better than 20 XSI a day mining anything.

Hate to bang on about it.... but the multipool? I see this as a really important tool in at least stabilizing both price and volume in the interim. If the keenest of us here can't put our hash on it, then it is really dead in the water. It needs to mine easy coins, so we get regular small payouts INTO the multipool. If I can go and mine various coins and get a payout 50x more than the multipool, then really the multipool should be able to do this too? I'm not expecting it to be the best profit picker, as the increase in price offsets the loss you take on the hash on the multipool. There is a large gap to close here at the minute though.

While we wait for any further behind the scenes developments I see this as pretty important.

I agree with your sentiments West.  Sent pcmerc a pm, and hopefully he will post an update in here soon.

It's way tougher now to pick the most profitable coins to mine, also the trend is for shorter mining duration. I mined Kore/Burn/Flash they were short duration but decent profit, it's not like I'm mining ltc or doge for weeks and months and get decent profit.
I try to hit launch's more now in hopes of a coin going big, but then again it involves holding a little sometimes, all stuff a pool operator can't do.
