. How many warnings does this guy need? The fact he has warned people of scams doesn't mean much when the rest of his posts are pure trolling.

Is that what he was doing? I never go in the mining section but I did see a video somewhere of him being given a miner by some company which effectively looked as if they were trying to bribe him to shut up and stop slandering their company haha.

I do remember him getting into it a good while back with some one and trolling hard but I was unaware it was common thing for him.  Anyway this is all news to me.

And a general moderation question:
Why target the trollbox and not the sources of the problems aka the scamming groups if irritated at users for spamming the scam threads recalls a lot of BFL attacks from Gage which are still ongoing as far as I recall.

Also it seems Gage has proof of moderator complicity in this if the ban is from davout so low level accusation for censure. If not then that fails immediately.

If bringing awareness to future bitcoiners depicting AMT a.k.a. Advanced Mining Technology a.k.a. Advanced Mining Technologies is considered trolling, so be it, but that was not my intent as I shoved it up Joshua Zipkin's (CEO of AMT) ass for taking millions of dollars from hard working bitcoiners, among which are US War Veterans.

Joshua Zipkin even offered to pay me $1,000 per month to monitor AMT's official thread, thus continuing the ruse, of which I refused to do.

I don't know if there's a connection or not, but davout is a mod over on BitcoinTalk and was the CEO of InstaWallet of which still owes me 1,132 BTC of which he claims is not owned to me in spite of proof otherwise.

So of a high enough caliber if proof is around to launch a power accusation I guess.

It's 7 days. I could care less who he calls a scammer but the off topic nonsense and trolling is excessive, has been for a while.

And calling something a scam doesn't make one immune to moderation. And davout had nothing to do with it.

That 20k post count doesn't count deleted posts and probably half his posts have been deleted so you're seeing the best of the bunch

This ban will do nothing to curb his enthusiasm for getting it wrong a lot of the time. Getting it right some of the time. Or accepting BTC from BFL on a slow drip and stopped posting about them entirely.

Ethically that is why I "banned" him from my own daily scan of these forums. I think the Mods have done the right thing and clearly explained why. There is little doubt he needs a break from posting and he will be on the wrong side of these rules again in time.
