Minor panic when updating my wallet - when i opened it to re-sync i had a really low balance! It has all come back now - looks like the coins that have been staked dont reappear in the balance until after the blocks for the mined stake have downloaded. Shared to avoid others having the same panic (unless you already knew and its just me finding out!)

Yep it shows balance for whatever block you are synced up to.

Why Cinni became so popular?

Nowadays only Bitcoin means a long term investments, almost nobody hold any altcoin for long term,
everybody there just want to make some quick cash or Bitcoin,
but could it be that some coin will appear that changes the investors mind to hold it for long term not just for daily trade?

Fact: Bitcoin is the gold of the new ear, everybody knows that, you can make any deflationary currency as you want, people won't change his mind, deflationary coins are Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, NXT, ........
But why Bitcoin wortsh more than any of these? Because why would you want to invest in copper if you can invest it in gold.

Is Bitcoin an awesome value store thing? Yes as Gold is. But does this means there is no and won't be a better coin which can make you more profit?
Of course not, as Company stocks, Startup companies can offer you better profit return than if you would invest your money only in gold.

Economists says the perfect investment is what makes your children millionaire with big return while the overall increase rate of that thing is lower, so the return by the interest rate is much higher than the inflationary ratio.

Lets see a real life example, maybe we can apply it to the new cryptocurrency world:

Think of it like you are a wealthy man, doesn't matter where do you live. You have 1 000 000$, to where will you invest it?
You want hold the money there for 50 years, for your children, and remember the compound interest is a miracle.

1- Banks in USA, lets think they give you 1% interest rate, while the infaltionary rate is low as well.
With 1 000 000$ for 50 years you will get: 1 644 631$, it isn't as good, you made a low  profit.
But what about with the public money value?
Because not everybody leave their money on the Bank accounts, many don't even have savings, and many usually just spends it after they get his salary, the inflationary rate is rather less, so count with 0.5% inflation rate.
Assume the public have 1 000 000 000$, after 50 years this money is like 1 283 225 815 $, the inflationary rate is low, but low infaltion is good, so its not a problem.

Because the overall supply inflationary rate is low, you didn't lose much value after 50 years, but the problem is becasue your profit was low too, you didn't gain nice profit.
It isn't a good idea then to leave your money with this low interest rate, even if the money looks won't lose its value.

2- Banks in Indonesia, India
We have just seen low profit for low inflationary ratio isn't a good business, but what about if you get 10% interest rate or more?
With 1 000 000$ for 50 years and 10% interest rate: 117 390 852$
Is that good? SURE, sure everybody would want this big profit.

Okay but don't inves in it right now, see some infaltionary calculations, because of this big interest rate, the human mind, nobody knows why
but usually believe the inflationary rate is 10% or much more, like 15% or 20%. We have seen nations who had only 20% base interest rate with hyperinfaltion.

So the public still have 1 000 000 000$, after 50 years count with only 15% inflationary rate.
1 083 657 441 583$, just too much, too much, its worthless, you got a nice profit, but for a worthless thing. Its a bad investment.

3- What for now?? Do we have other options? Lets see what big investors in USA do, they don't leave their money on USA banks, nethier leave it in Indonesia banks. They try to find some EU banks, wtih interest rates between 3% and 10%.

Try something with 3.5% interest rate, with 1 000 000$ you will have 5 584 926$ after 50 years, its a nice profit, not as much as with the 2nd option but still nice.

But what about the overall public money? If the interest rate is low as this 3.5%, the infaltionary rate usually 1% or can be below that,
and as we seen 1% means almost nothing. 1 000 000 000$, after 50 years only 1 644 631 821$.

This is the best investment!
You can say, but with the high inerest rate I got more profit, yes you got but the inflationary rate is too high to gain a net profit,
and you can say but with 1% the inflationary rate was low, the money almost as value as was, or a little worse, yes but you got almost no profit for 50 years...

But with this 3rd option, The money almost as value as was, and still you have 5 times more value than you had.

Compare it with the crypto life:
What is Gold in crypto? Bitcoin of course. Is bitcoin good for long term investment? Sure. Is bitcoin good for daily trade? Sure.

What is the USA bank in crypto? One sample is Blackcoin, is it good for long term? As we seen nope.. Is it good for daily trade? Yes its very volatile.

What are the high interest investments? Like Whitecoin, Mintcoin, Asiacoin. They can be good for daily trade, but don't think about them as a long term investment.

And the 3rd, the best option, the EU banks with nice interest but still the inflationary rate is 1% or under:
Cinni, is it good for daily trade? Sure. But for long term investment? We have seen it is the best.

Somebody just made a new coin wich is 100% PoS, can't be destroyed, and gives you the best investment and almost the best value protector what is the dream of every investors and economists. So why Cinni become so popular? Because of this!

I just wrote down the facts, the take away is yours!

This is pure nonsense, are u serious? These examples are quite wrong...
What is so special about this coin? Does the devs have writed code from scratch or is it just another copycat of this ongoing flood of POS clones?

care to explain what is so different with Cinni that it is better in long term than BC? I have not seen it yet?

here's one (this one's free, the rest will cost you): cinni is grossly undervalued right now compare to bc, given their max coin supply.  bc has over 70m coins, cinni has 15m coins.  you do the math.

I can value that point yes. but the whole fact list written above here, has absolutely nothing to do with the potential success of this coin

ah ok thanks - just when i opened it before it started syncing there was ~6% of what there should be in the wallet, and even when it got past the block where i had coins coming in from the pool they didnt show up in my balance until after i got past the stake block (if that makes sense?). Just not what i was expecting - will know for next time and all my cinnis are sat in my wallet again going up in value at a very pleasing rate!

CINNICOIN – INCREASED BITCOIN TRADING VOLUME, VALUE INCREASES BY 70%
CinniCoin is a coin that already went through it’s PoW stage, during which 15,000,000 coins were generated. Currently being in the PoS phase, it runs a Multipool through Hashco.ws, where you can opt to be paid out in CinniCoin.

So far, I’m sure none of you are impressed as there is nothing here we haven’t seen so far. While that may be true, it’s not always about what a coin offers now, but how it wants to move forward, and that’s where CinniCoin has some interesting ideas.

One of the features we can (hopefully) expect in the future, is the addition of both encrypted and unencrypted messaging. My guess would be these messages will be broadcasted via the CInniCoin client. More Information http://altcoinhunters.com/2014/04/cinni-coin/

Hmm not being pessimistic here but, build the value just about a private chat, not sure that that will be revolutionizing the industry.

there are better solutions already existing for private chat, not to mention Blackphone etc..

@staffly
IMO intrest rate like annual 0% - 5% don't matter so much in crypto.
In real life does it matter.
USD-fiat currency is regulated in other way while crypto you have central banks which regulates amount of $ in system by printing and or rising %interest rate.

If all should be so cool then why NXT 1st pure 100% POS coin i going down eg from 0,9 BTC to 0.4 BTC...

Interest rate is some kind illusion that you will have more but in reality 0-5% is not affect price so much.

Crypto is demand/supply play.
All POS coins with interest rate like annual 0-5% (maybe even 10%) have marginal impact on daily price. So supply we can talk all have pretty the same.
Only one big thing here is demand.
Demand:
Hype - high demand high price ( just look at NXT,BC charts with hypes price goes up like rocket but after hype  ends ~50%~30% peak price ).
Multipool creates demand but in real 5Ghs=20BTC now it don't affect price so much while daily volume is ~2000BTC this is only 1% of daily trade.
Stores and adaptation hmm they are exist but they aren't so popular in Crypto now i have used Doge auction house but all prefer to keep coins and thinking it will rise to 1000$ like BTC.

___________________________________________________________
Now Cinni is close to WC coinmarketcap and here we start real battle,
today WC and Cinni are equal in working innovations and adaptation and this is interesting point in Cinni history.

Who else is mining cinni on hashco.ws?

I pointed 30mh.

I tried it - was not at all impressed by the payout. Maybe it was just a bad day but my profits were astronomically low. I went back to Cleverming/DarkCoin.

Cinni volume is wrong on coin marketcap. Doesnt even include the 1250+ btc from mintpal. We actually have 800k+ volume in USD in last 24 hrs.

100k behind dogecoin and 200k behind blackcoin. Absolutely wild!!!
