There are links provided to the methodology and each coin is graded on 4 fields: Community support, exchange presense, technical advancements and our ultimate outlook on the coin.

We obviously understand the difference of opinions and such, this is not suppose to reflect what coins is best to invest in the current moment, no. Today duckduckcoin could under go a massive explosion and tomorrow return the current state it was in.

I suggest reading the articles and understanding our ranking system.

Ask anyone they will give you a different opinion....

These are safe bets except perhaps ultracoin no way for that to be number 7 lol

Wouldn't say they are short or even med term the best bets out there but most look good  long term bets.

Missed out QRK and Black both of those i would put 50k in each of those before i put 5k in ultra...

BlackCoin is ranked number 11 with a 3.31 score
http://www.coinssource.com/crypto-coins/blackcoin/

Quarkcoin is ranked in the top 15 with a 3.13 score. (not exactly sure where in the top 15, we are still editing and re-checking our 110+ coin scores.)
http://www.coinssource.com/crypto-coins/quark/

You can ultimately see where the points got deducted if you examine our reviews. And again, we are totally aware of opinions. But, we've spent several hours with eachcoin and have scoured the internet for anything pertaining to the coin. All reviews are subjected to investigations and updates regarding their current standings.

We really want to continue our efforts, we believe we are in the best position to inform users. All and any support to Coins Source is very welcomed.

Absurd. First, bitcoin is not an "altcoin" it is the first cryptocurrency isn't everything AFTER bitcoin considered an "altcoin" ?

Some of the coins on that list are ridiculous. Ripple? Seriously? Potcoin is doing way better than 90% of that list. Dogecoin is on the verge of death with no legitimate plan to fix things.

I'm sorry, i thought bitcoin not being an alt-coin is common knowledge on these forums. I will this title.

Please read the categories, our ranking guideline, methodology and such. Each coin is ranked in several different fields. Potcoin is having an initial burst of support due to market share, that does not encompass a wide range of fields. Potcoin major factor is not improving on any technical advancements or gathering merchant support as it is intended. http://www.coinssource.com/crypto-coins/potcoin/

The volume is average, the market trends are showing a rebound due to Bitcoin.

Ripples XRP is a new breed of a crypto system, It improves on all alternative currencies, now the backing and distribution method is not perceived to be the best. But one aspect does not necessarily triumph over others.

http://www.coinssource.com/crypto-coins/ripple/

And lastly for Doge it still remains one of the heaviest support alternative coins, and not on here on BTT. Due to the massive support OUTSIDE of BTT it has en excellent foundation and goes above and beyond of a profit machine like several alternative coins to date. Simply type Dogecoin in Google and you will soon realize that it has way more foundation then Potcoin. All rankings are subjected to change, we merely just launched and trying to gather funds so we can keep improving our system.

Please read the full reviews, i can't stress how much time we've spent researching almost all alternative coins.

Coins are ranked on the following fields:

Community Support - Encompasses: BTT community, Twitter, Facebook, Website, Development support, Forums, Core Support, News Coverage and etc.

Exchange Presence - Encompasses: Number of exchanges listed on, We factor in community support to determine if any further exchanges will accept the coin, volume and merchant support

Technical Advancements - Almost all the time, Coins are Scrypt clones, or branch off existing technology. We do not award points for merely modifying block rewards, supplies and etc. This honestly is the back-breaker for most coins

Coins Source's Score
- After we've spent hours researching, writing reviews and examining the coin we take into account all factors, the average of scores and our ultimate opinion of the coins. This field also encompasses achievements and other factors that may not have been covered otherwise.

Over all a good first try, but lots of  weighted information.

It needs to have the same person writing all reviews... it is either different people or they are not consistent.

For the most part the ranking seems not too bad but a few really strange rankings stand out.

For example you can not highlight a negative point on one coin then not mention the same negative point on another coin. Actually i see negative points highlighted on some coins that are lesser offenders with regard that issue than coins that get praise ? this is very strange.

I would have your reviews done by a single person that actually is very clued up on the facts for each coin.

Better still would be to have a more precise set of criteria and mark accordingly. The score then is derived from those marks, no opinion essential.  For some points on your site it is not a matter of opinion, the facts are the facts.

I appreciate you just started the site but i would not release fully at all in this state or will cause a negative reaction.  Sure offer opinion where opinion has a place ...however don't be seen to gloss over a certain negative on one coin but highlight it on another because once people spot this they will ignore all the valid information you present of which there is quite a bit.

I would hold off on your rankings until you do further investigation.

I can't stress how much most don't want to waste their time reading your flawed bs full reviews. You obviously didn't research enough into the depth of some of the scams.

First, our articles and grading system is based on fact.

We noted all possible flaws in the distribution methods of the coins. We are not here to be the scam checkers or enforcements to the world. We are merely stating this coin has support, it is technically advanced and etc.

Coins Source is not suppose to be your end all 1-way ticket into profit, not at all! We are merely giving background information and stating the facts. We respect your input and everyone's opinion. We are merely trying to inform the masses, Bitcointalk is just a start, this is where the most die-hard entrenched users are in the alternative coin world.

Anyone who reads our market analysis (premium) will know our real thoughts and analysis. That's something you may reasonably agree upon.

On another note, we totally appreciate your feedback. You are entitled to some SourceCoins if you want them, just send me your address.

Whats the point in just picking and choosing random variables to judge them on? For instance 3 of your listing have security holes you could drive a truck through.

Agree most including btc have flaws in the distribution model, actually satoshi only had pow as a temp fix.

btw never heard of SourceCoin.

We are giving people a perspective. We understand the comparison between alt-coins  to Bitcoin, in the measures of network hashes and security that ultimately protect the network. 95% of all alternative coins are unsecured, have no real purpose other then profit machines. Even some in the top 10.

I know this and most of my team does. But we tried to keep it as simple as possible, in a way your mum could read and understand the information presented.

On another note, no alternative coin will ever come close to Bitcoin's score. You have to keep that in perspective. The jump from 3-4 amazed us when we started digging in deep.  All coins have their scores adjusted on a weekly basis, but there is so much work inputted we are in need of some assistance.

Anyways, that's why we are doing an IPO to hire and ultimately create a better site for everyone's liking.
