A lot of people rooting for that coin. I would be a good candidate once Quarkbar is strong enough. What's the current status?

Reviving old coins is a great idea and it's good to see someone organizing it. Most of them are already on exchanges, which is a hurdle all new coins have to get past.

Why did the coins die? Lack of a community , merchants , developers... Why bring a coin that wasn't able to attract those back to life and not invest your energy in a new coin with more features at more attractive Just so people can sell it at 2 litoshi instead of 1 litoshi?

But , time will tell which of us is wrong.

66coin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!4!!4444!!!!4
You invested in a gimmick coin and it bit you on the ass, go and sulk in the corner with the people who bought aurora DATACOIN:I have been forced to abandon the blockchain file browser and the upload tool that I was hosting (I am still running a full node and will do it for a month or so) because of lack of time since I have been moving on to other things. I still believe this coin has some potential, but it urgently needs : - A dedicated dev team with fluent communication with the community (if there is any left). - More services around it - And most notably : people using those services - Less hoarding, datacoin is meant to spent on uploads, not to hoard it (see the amount of coins that are kept in exchanges FFS). For instance check some block explorer (if you can find one) and search for block rewards greater than the standard, you won't find much of them, this means the coin is not being used at all. Just sayin'...

I think personally 66coin is great candidate. Has good position on MintPal, which may spark further interest. 66Coin as of 17/05/2014 is on 10 position on MintPal with more than 9000 votes. If you compare it with the QuarkBar which has 41 vote and is on 309 position that a lot more interest. I know what are the advantages of QB but people already invested time and money to take 66 to such a opportunistic position. We need to start looking in progression. We need to start looking more than just a week or a month ahead even more than 1 year ahead. It doesn't matter what kind of coin encryption is going to be invented or what was premined or what kind of distribution method we are about to see CryptoCurrencies are becoming power. I believe there will be market and interest in for all of them. Me for instance how did I choose the first coin to mine, which was BitCoin, because is the most popular. I didn't know many details about Crypto or that there was so many Alts out there.Of course with my tiny hashing power I gave it up quite quickly. Second choice most popular coin of the day it was DogeCoin at the time. Same problem not enough hashing power. Third coin Diamond (DMD). Why did I choose it the name mainly I wasn't thinking about premine, Algorithms, current price or strong community. I was influenced by my knowledge and experience of the current markets and everyone knows what diamonds stand for. Than start noticing more thing like community, premined, instamined, current mining difficulty, coin numbers, future interest. We need to make sure we popularize as many coins as possible to as many people as possible. Only than we can see this market flourish. When people interested in certain thing will look for a coin or coins that stands for the thing they are looking for. For instance If you are interested in trains, traveling with trains, train models and so on and there is TrainCoin( Maybe there is one already who knows or they will see this and create one) and they can buy ticket or anything else that's in the area of trains. People will love this coin and use it. It's not going to be just in our imagination that we are in the digital currency business. Support as many as possible and stop being so hateful about someone's success.Stick with what you like and eventually you will see same thing happen to you. Currently I'm involved in more than 10 different coin to certain extend. I hope one will be super successful so I can get involve in more. It's really fascinating what is happening today. I've missed BitCoin expansion. I knew about since 2011. I believed that we are going to see digital currency which will substituted conventional ones. The one thing I wasn't sure was timescale. It blew me away how fast everything happened. I know I missed the birth but I'm here now.We are still at the beginning of this journey. So many opportunities, so many exciting technologies will emerge from this small community. Change is coming. Powerful people with a lot of money will stand in its way. Don't help them in their work.

Interesting We've talked about 66Coin and our concern is the premine of almost 5%. Do you know what happened to this?

Have no idea what happen with the premine. I don't really thing that is the most important thing. 5% is not that much really anyone can acquire 5% even 51% of any coin depending on value of certain coin. We yet have to find way to battle 51% attacks on digital currencies. I think the most important thing is how many people will own the other 95% the more the better.Maybe people that are interested in the coin and going to hold it in for long term instead of dump them on first chance coming. I started mining QuarkBar but I don't think that is the only coin that has potential. There isn't that many mining it not yet anyway.

51% attacks on bitcoin-like networks and owning 51% of the coins aren't the same thing, what makes a coin valuable are newly implemented features like the Quark and Q2C algos, POS from peercoin, random n-factor, distributed data storage etc. If you put your hard earned cash into yet another litecoin clone because the homepage had a music video and used the number '6' a lot then that's just too bad for you I'm afraid. I think effort is better spent elsewhere.

How about ADTv2?
What about it? Elaborate and have a link? ADTv2 vote +1... Been watching the forum for a few weeks & would like to see this coin have a chance, if the Dev will accept the help on a working fix? Seems like a great name for a coin, but it's been down for the count for weeks now & unable to sync the wallet.. Still even has OpenSSL 1.0.1e 11 Feb 2013, with a big change in the wallet code.. This coin could prosper again? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=440353.0I will add it to the OP Seems the source ( https://github.com/CryptoRepairCrew/Android-Token-V2) was updated this Wednesday. Somebody still working on it?
