I made my first deposit into my wallet on October 1st yet I'm still not seeing any staking. The wallet keeps saying that expected minting time is one hour. Am I doing something wrong?
If you deposited in 1st of October, then today are 9 days (min staking time). After 9 days you should start seeing first minted coins, but this depends a lot of you coin pile size. As I have seen in my case a coin pile over 1000 DMD mints after 10 days. So maybe tomorrow you will see some minted coins if you have over 1000 DMD and all in the same pile. (If you made only one transaction when you deposited the coins and didn't move them inside the wallet then you have one pile). yea i have 10k DMD so that might be the problem. The message is a little misleading saying i should see a reward in 1 hour. Should say one day. I see teh wallet hasn't been updated in a while. I'm running 2.0.5.7 which i think it the latest. The message from the wallet remained I think from the old times when min stake time was 7 days.... At 10k DMD for sure tomorrow it will stake

come on u didnt know u need to have wallet open in minting mode to claim POS rewards if u did find that enlightenment before u would have minted multiple times already i cant do more than spread a link to how POS work from time to time

At 10k DMD for sure tomorrow it will stake the message is buggy because it think min coin age is 3 days and not 9 days so it show minting chances way to early but its a minor bug and we wont release a wallet for just that we might fix it together with a wallet that include staicybit webstaking interface so u can manage multiple POS coins and not only DMD dircet out of ur DMD wallet exchange integration and marketplaces might follow later on

come on u didnt know u need to have wallet open in minting mode to claim POS rewards if u did find that enlightenment before u would have minted multiple times already i cant do more than spread a link to how POS work from time to time No, untill I read that previous link, I thought all you had to do was sync-up periodically. Im still confused about why the wallet has to be open for so long, it's not like it's mining or using any resources or anything. I use to think POS was a fixed % and all you had to do was collect it like a traditional bank where you have deposits. Since the deposits are in the block-chain, I thought all I had to do was sync-up to collect the interest. Since my wallet is on my laptop, I only periodically turn it on, and I don't leave it on when im not using it, so the wallet usually only had time to sync-up before I shut the laptop down. I downloaded a new wallet to my work machine which stays online all the time, and I finally got it synced up. Next job is to figure out best way to move coins. Easiest way would be to simply send them to the new address, but I guess that resets the age of the coins... From what I have read, there is a DAT file you can copy from one machine to another, but I haven't found that file yet or given it a try. I was kinda worried about making a mistake and loosing the coins. Needless to say, I have never tried POS coins before. Ive been around for a while, but all I have done in the past 2 years is mine/sell.

Ive been around for a while, but all I have done in the past 2 years is mine/sell. Everything is very simple. Your run wallet and then synchronize with the network, click unlock for mining and then you keep your wallet open and you will get to your share POS. This is called POS mining. If you keep your wallet in a mode POS mining 24 hours a day, then your income will be slightly larger than the short-run your purse.

If you keep your wallet in a mode POS mining 24 hours a day, then your income will be slightly larger than the short-run your purse. POS is not that much different from POW as lot people believe active wallets who mint are protecting the network in fact ur wallet is really involved in a competition to mint a block and calculating hashes to do so (same as POW would do) the only difference to POW is its not scaleable with computing power a normal CPU singlecore is enough u can only increase ur chance by have more and older coins but that dont change the fact u have to win the competition for a block to get ur POS rewards (each day around 720 times someone can successful claim his POS rewards and mint a block) minting blocks and earning rewards is not directly connected because the rewards deepens on the age of involved coin piles so people who mint often have just a small advantage in earnings because their coins are younger and generate less rewards but the point i try to explain is only have old coins isnt winning a cometition to mint a block u need to have ur wallet open for some time i suggest once or twice each month for one or two days for small medium sized wallets and 24/7 for big wallets (~10000 DMD and bigger) because then compound really starts to make sence

wallet.dat u will find it in %appdata/diamond folder on window PC its very strong suggested u have a backup of that without that file if ur PC crash u lose access to ur coins but in wallet gui ther is also a way to copy that wallet.dat if u use the backup wallet option in menu the file u save then as backup is in fact exactly that wallet.dat

Ok, people, it seems we have 6 people donating 0.05 BTC each to add us to presstab blockchain explorer.
Would you pls send your BTC to 3FMAfadkY2x1hq1i8h3ksZod5Dxg3jXkRE address and I ll do the rest.
Chilo, can you pls covert your DMD into BTC as well cause I would have to do it anyways. No problem if you end being a few satoshi short due to fees, I ll cover that if necessary.
Thx to all participants, this shows again how great community DMD s got.

Hi RawCrypto, First thing you need to know is where to find your wallet.dat file. This is important as this is your actual wallet information, which you use to backup or move your wallet. It is located here: C:/Users/User/Appdata/Roaming/Diamond In the Diamond folder is a series of files and folders. Choose the wallet.dat file and copy it to a USB stick/CD/portable HDD etc. Always keep an up-to-date copy of this file in a secure offline location, in case your computers HDD crashes or your computer otherwise becomes unusable. You should also password protect your wallet, as if someone gets a hold of your wallet.dat file and it is not encrypted, your DMD are theirs. Download and install the DMD program onto the second computer you intend to use. Allow it to synchronise, then close the program. Open on this computer the same folder, C:/Users/User/Appdata/Roaming/Diamond and copy from the USB etc the wallet.dat file from the first computer that contains your DMD. It will ask if you wish to overwrite, select yes. Your second computer now has your original wallet on it. Run the DMD program and your coins will be there when the program opens. Regards chilo

Of course - any movement of your file wallet.dat between different computers will not affect your profit through POS mining (unless you use the outbound transaction from your wallet)

interesting times on markets seems that as we did see last weeks constant decreasing amount of DMD in sellorderbooks did finally kick in
today we did see pricespike close to 0.00140
and if u look upwards in the orderbooks not much resistence is there to be seen
the interesting question will be how high this will stabilize and at what point people are willing to place sellorders again
