My activity didn't update today...can anyone offer an explanation? What questions do I need to answer? Feel free to PM me too. Thanks!
Edit: Is it because it's still within an hour of me posting in this new period?
Most likely. The activity usually takes a few hours to update.

And every activity update happens only after 12 PM forum time, so actually your activity updates at 1PM every next tuesday(AFAIK)

Oh no, we're losing out on so much activity Nobody really cares or should care about activity, to be honest. UNIX timestamps are accurate in all time-zones and they're just an easy-to-implement digit, so it's easy to see why they're used. Pretty much this. As long as mine goes up by 14 every other Tuesday that's all I care about. I couldn't care less about the exact time in minutes & seconds etc.

The time keeps changing as mentioned in OP. So from now onwards, the update happens after 1 PM forum time. From March onwards it happens after 2 PM forum time.

What happened to the .Doc file showing all TIL Dates I see it as blank It wasn't blank, a new sheet was created and moved to the front so at first glance there were only 1's visible. I just edited the sheet to bring the time stamp list back to the front.

Noticed that the other day and thought it was blank myself. Op should update the first post with the next ones which would help. I often used to give this thread a quick look at to see when the next period started in gmt.

I know "legendary" status is random after 750, but I haven't come across anyone that has hit that title at 750...have we seen any of them, or is the randomness more heavily weighted towards needing more activity?

My main account was pretty lucky, I think I reached Legendary right near 800 activity if I remember right. theymos also posted a list of the luckiest and unluckiest Legendary users if you want to take a peak at that. Looks like the activity rank is truly random, I don't think there's any sort of weighting towards higher numbers when determining what activity a user needs to become Legendary.

I am completely new to this bitcointalk world, and I didn't understood anything about periods.. In my profile I see that my number of posts equals number of activities. .. Are they different? And how rank increases, if I completed posting 60 posts, wont I be upgraded to member rank??? I am very confused...

You can earn at most 14 activity for each two week period. To earn that activity, you post. You can earn at most 14 * the number of two week periods you have posted in. After that amount, any further posts you make will not affect your activity.

This,
The activity number is determined in this way: time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration activity = min(time * 14, posts)
is not very clear at all.

really? that's clear enough for me. basically it's telling us that we can only get 14 activity for each activity periods that we posted in. and there's a list of activity periods in the first post.
