im buying as much nomero as i can
pm me offers for large amounts (10+ BTC/trade w/ escrow)

You buying on Poloniex too?

i dislike poloniex hard sorry. i lost a lot of btc when it was compromised

use escrow and one-to-one trade. i also would send btc first to 100% trusted members

10btc+ per trade volume only

What happened on poloniex?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499580.0

That problem was in the past, i think their security is much better now for Poloniex. I have been keeping at least 5+ BTC in my account for weeks, no 2FA enabled and still safe.

Enable 2FA ASAP.

Such a small amount of effort can help prevent a crushing loss.

Doesn't look like 2FA would have prevented losing ~15% in this scenario though. Has it been paid back?

It's not bribing. It's investing into a liquid exchange so that the price jumps. More than 8 BTC were sent, I'd say the investors are pretty confident about their coin. That should give everyone an incentive to buy more.
It IS bribing. People who resort to bribe take a calculated decision, that's what bribery is about.

Rest assured I have fiddled with the daemon enough to know when it's stuck and when it's not. Of course there's a possibility the daemon functions perfectly normally otherwise but fails inexplicably when a block is found?  Roll Eyes

The version on master doesn't have this issue, but the old version does (if it found a block, it wouldn't broadcast it).

You mean 0.8.7?

Who can help - I can't open my old  wallet.bin (8.8.6 version) in new simplewallet. Is it possible to convert it? Also it is not possible from today to send money from old  simplewallet. There is follow error msg: http://prntscr.com/3sgkig
Delete wallet.bin but not wallet.bin.keys and open wallet.bin in new simplewallet. refresh and you should be able to spend.

Thank you! It is possible to load old wallet. But still can't send money. There is a warning from demon: http://prntscr.com/3shsse
(Have tried 2 times)

Does someone want to put https://monerotalk.org in the OP as at least an unofficial forum?

You mean 0.8.7?

0.8.8 and 0.8.7 official release builds both had this issue

The experimental master (current master) does not

I'll have to update (again) then, though the daemon should be pretty up to date. Just in case.  Smiley

The Linux compilation script has just ben updated thanks to Quanttek. There is now a semi-graphical menu and you can choose update only; for instance, if you only want to update Wolf's cpuminer, just press 7.

The command line stays the same:
Code:
cd ~ && rm -f install_monero.sh && wget http://monero.cc/downloads/install_monero.sh && bash install_monero.sh

As always, the complete installation instructions for Windows, Mac and Linux are available at http://monero.cc/getting-started

Exit simplewallet. Delete the .bin file (but keep .keys) , launch simplewallet again and let it sync. Then you should be able to spend.

Yep, already did that, but problem still remain.
I generated new wallet. And no problem to send money from this one. But how to save money from old one?

Perhaps you should stop bitmonerod, then remove poolstate.bin, then start bitmonerod and simplewallet. If that doesn't work you can try removing blockchain.bin as well..

Selling MoneroCoin.com for 500 Monero

Woah! They could probably sell the current domain for cheaper than that.
