I noticed this error message. Why is there a User call "ric"? That isn't me, or is that just the default path? Also, that is not any of my IP addresses, just checked. 2014-Jun-15 10:17:08.000455 [P2P0][46.229.50.42:18080 OUT] SYNCHRONIZED OK 2014-Jun-15 10:38:08.355620 [P2P8][sock 22] Some problems at write: Broken pipe:32 2014-Jun-15 10:40:38.820562 [P2P1][sock 17] Some problems at write: Broken pipe:32 2014-Jun-15 10:40:58.363403 [P2P8][sock 14] Some problems at write: Broken pipe:32 2014-Jun-15 10:51:46.048428 [P2P8]ERROR /Users/ric/Desktop/Temp/bitmonero-core/contrib/epee/include/net/abstract_tcp_server2.inl:307 send que size is more than ABSTRACT_SERVER_SEND_QUE_MAX_COUNT(100), shutting down connection 2014-Jun-15 10:51:46.060188 [P2P8]ERROR /Users/ric/Desktop/Temp/bitmonero-core/contrib/epee/include/net/levin_protocol_handler_async.h:638 [85.218.39.237:18080 OUT]Failed to do_send() 2014-Jun-15 10:51:46.071841 [P2P7]ERROR /Users/ric/Desktop/Temp/bitmonero-core/contrib/epee/include/net/abstract_tcp_server2.inl:307 send que size is more than ABSTRACT_SERVER_SEND_QUE_MAX_COUNT(100), shutting down connection 2014-Jun-15 10:51:46.071931 [P2P7]ERROR /Users/ric/Desktop/Temp/bitmonero-core/contrib/epee/include/net/levin_protocol_handler_async.h:638 [85.218.39.237:18080 OUT]Failed to do_send()

which is the source of your binaries ? obviously that's not your IP, that's the peer you're communicating with.

can you recommend me some? .fr problem with payouts, moneropool.com same issue, minergate, better not saying anything, my hashrate is 10kH, pool should be 100-200x bigger than your hashrate, what I've red, so now be clever, because I'm not.

@mirny: With 10kH you should solo mine and you should get 1.75 blocks per day (about 7 blocks per 4 days).

which is the source of your binaries ? obviously that's not your IP, that's the peer you're communicating with. On the page before I asked a question about my wallet. (bit more detail there). But, my binaries were downloaded from Github as a zip and then I moved the files (after first setting a password and 24 word seed). I'm running the bitmonerod and simplewallet by having double clicked on the downloaded files. It seemed fine till an hour ago. In my other question I was worried about having moved the source files after setting the password and seed. Perhaps that is why? Though it seems my .bin files are still in my home directory. Thanks, IAS

can I test that my 24 word seed is still ok?
Your seed is a random combination of data that, when produced, will re-produce your wallet, indefinitely. To see if it's working you can just create a new folder, copy and paste the 'simplewallet' file into that folder. Then execute a script with the simplewallet file but with the flag --restore-deterministic-wallet It will ask you for a 'new' name for your wallet, a 'new' password, and then the seed. The new name/pw don't have to be the same as the old one, but it will make a file that is the same wallet regardless of what you choose. You may verify the address/viewkey/tx log independently from there if you wish to go that far. Check out the missives for a confirmation/better description. edit: There's no need to worry about moving any files. You may shred them, burn your computer, just lose the password to your wallet file .. etc. As long as you know those words you may restore your wallet no matter what happens.

@beavis4ever extremehash.com too many orphans, need 120 confirms instead of normal 60
@equipoise I'd like to solomine, but there is no solomnier for GPU's
@sammy007 I think that logic is normal, you would like to waste your hashrate just like that? I think no. So maybe I'll try that new pool from Wolf. It's looking like the best choice atm.

This advice was addressed to small miners with 100-200 H/s. If everyone with huge hashrate will mine on huge pools we will end up with 1-2 pools cracking all the blocks and small pools will disappear, and we will never see new pools coming, because it's almost impossible to successfully launch a pool when everyone will think this way. BTW, welcome to http://xmr.hashinvest.ws -- always latest updates.

Those orphans are not recent. They are from before, when all pools produces many orphans. Also, I believe you are also incorrect on the number of confirms.

@mirny: You could set your own pool on one of your PCs. Then, on the mining port you could disallow any other IPs except the IP's of your mining machines. Then you could disable the pool shares verification (you won't cheat on your own pool) in order to save the hash power for the pool machine CPU's (so you could mine on the pool machine CPU too). I think this won't be too hard to set. I'm not an expert on such type of configurations, but if I had your hashing power (I'm mining with about 130 H/s) I would give it a try. It seems the current version of the daemon could need some restarts on the pool machine (sometimes it freezes), but this could be done manually or made automatically on some adequate intervals (maybe a few times per day just to be sure?).

@beavis4ever So is it a bug then? @equipoise Yes, that would be the best way, but me and linux, we are not a very good friends, once I've been trying to set-up a pool, but It's a big headache and too many sleepless night without any result. Yes, this is my commitment for this year, to learn, how to built and manage a pool.
