official block-explorer is down.

@atomrigs: do you think it's possible to add a very basic API to your block-explorer (which is really great btw.) ? just a few commands like GetCurrentDifficulty, GetCurrentJackpot, GetCurrentBlock, GetLastJackpotBlock?
Are there any other APIs are needed?

well, I think the more the better, but a basic set would be good enough for a start I think. Maybe GetNetworkHashrate could be usefull too Smiley

down to 10  Shocked

Keep an eye on the richlist now.  There are now 10 more addresses above 30 million.  Guess when they bought them all?  These last couple weeks.  We haven't really had a shakedown of the weak hands yet, so I'm guessing that's what will happen before the price stabilizes.
http://explorer.jpcpal.com/richlist.php

I think there were 18 addresses above me before, now there's about 27.  I don't think people usually accumulate that much if they're afraid of the price staying low forever.

Exactly my thoughts on this.

Even if they are accumulating, what can be done to raise prices, just because they are mining doesn't mean the price is going to go up. I don't understand your logic, I'm not saying your wrong, just wanted you to elaborate on why you think the accumulation can be a sign of impending price jump.

thanks for your imput

It doesn't mean it's a certain thing, it just means that people would have to spend anywhere from $2000-$5000 to get to 40 million coins over the last couple weeks, and most of the time that means people have confidence in the coin.  When whales start dropping off the rich list and the price is going down, then I'm less confident.  If more people have high balances after the price goes down, then it means more people have been buying them and it's getting distributed better.  There is less risk of one large coin holder dumping everything at once when coins are more evenly distributed, so the price becomes more stable.

Well that's my opinion at least.  I don't think people would buy and hold so much if they were ultimately worried about it in the long run.  If they're worried about the price that much, they would probably just day trade it, not invest a lot of money and keep it in their wallet.

I have also been down on almost every other coin for as long as jpc has been declining.  Sure they had a few pumps, but the end result is roughly the same scale.  We'll see what happens when the volume comes back for alt coins.  I remember just a week ago having multiple coins over 300btc/day but now you're lucky to find one with consistent volume.

yeah, that's how I see it too.  When whales keep accumulating rather than dumping, I assume the same thing.  Also, this is a Korean coin.  The dev isn't very active here but there very well could be discussions of future plans going on there.

I have been monitoring the Rich List of coin holders of 20,000,000 or more from the last couple of months.

So far 33% have sold at a loss. The rest are still holding.

If you used the official list(http://explorer.jackpotcoin.info/richlist/) for your analysis, then it is completely inaccurate.
It has been not just out of date, but also most of balances are completely inaccurate.

Monitor it again with this site,

The sell walls are looking pretty thin. I expect most of the weak hands have been dumped by now. I wouldn't be surprised if we get another pump in the very near future. Clearly something is going on. Look at the rich list

well...
with 8.5M i get like 11k of JPC daily, which is like daily mining with 4MHs (R9280X?).
you can get 8M for 0.9BTC and new R9280X for 0.45BTC, but you pay way less for electricity; if you do pay of course Smiley
i think the current price is just right for the moment...
maybe few weeks later when stacking will become more profitable than mining, ppl will start buying once again.

right? Smiley

Why's JPC disable (deposit / withdrawal) on bittrex?

p/s: It s okay now, very fast wallet confirmation i've ever seen. The confirmation for withdrawal / deposit less than a minute:D

dwarf as it seems. i hope the shares are not correct currently, because that would mean that I always get around 0.4-0.5% for a round, but for the jackpot only 0.089%. that would be really bad luck ^^

this yet another feature of the coin that is inaccurate and is sure not helping confidence.
how many times have we posted about the wallet hash rate etc being so inaccurate its useless for example ?

PiMP is a linux miner o/s like BAMT with more updated algos supports.
http://www.getpimp.org/downloads.html

They released a new version with AMD 14.6 driver installed and all new sgminers.
However their jackpot miner is not updated.

So here is how to update it.

update_sgminer_jackpot.sh
Code:
mine stop
sleep 5
#!/bin/sh
mv /opt/sgminer-jackpot /opt/sgminer-jackpot-old
cd /tmp
git clone https://github.com/djm34/sgminer-jpc.git /tmp/sgminer-jackpot
cp /opt/sgminer/ADL_SDK/* /tmp/sgminer-jackpot/ADL_SDK/
cd /tmp/sgminer-jackpot
chmod +x autogen.sh
./autogen.sh
sleep 5
make clean
sleep 5
CFLAGS="-O2 -Wall -march=native -I /opt/AMDAPP/include/" LDFLAGS="-L/opt/AMDAPP/lib/x86" ./configure --enable-scrypt --enable-opencl --bindir="/opt/sgminer-jackpot" --prefix="/usr/local/bin"
sleep 5
make
sleep 5
cp -R /tmp/sgminer-jackpot /opt/sgminer-jackpot
mine start

chmod +x update_sgminer_jackpot.sh
./update_sgminer_jackpot.sh

Make sure in the conf,
"kernel" : "jpc"
(not "jackpot")

I could suppose that you got less this time because someone sent more shares in this 6 minutes (since last block to jackpot-block) than usually, getting bigger reward than usually, and reducing the parts of the other miners.
please consider, if 0.4-0.5% are 100% for normal round, for Jackpotround there is two times less, because the founder get 50%.

But I checked all results now, and found no one user with a strong anomaly neither overpaid or much less paid, I also cann't see the user getting 0.089% in the data base. please sent me your wallet so that I could see more detailed

PS: a part of 50% paid fully to all users, 50% got the founder

Just wanted to point out i noticed recently the Official Faucet pay out was lowered drastically.

I'll prob remove it from my sig soon.. it does not seem worth the time Sad
getting like 10 Jackpot coins is really not very much at all..
if guys go and look at how many coins were premined and then look at the faucet they may be rather disgusted.
what was the premine ? billions ? i forgot lol

i have not gone to it very many times either so i am not trying to drain it..
i have been using it as an advertisement with my Sig ref-Link for new guys and now i don't see any reason to send people to it sorry.

edit:
Maybe just shut it down ?

edit2:
Guys not ALL of us are making LOTS of coins.. i make about 999 coins per 24 hrs mining Sad
