Former Gawker writer Adrian Chen has announced on Twitter that he’ll Doxx Satoshi Nakamoto this Wednesday. Doxxing is a process of exposing someone’s true identity.

The American freelance journalist, currently working as an editor for The New Inquiry, promised that there would be a live doxxing of Satoshi Nakamoto at IRL Club on Wednesday, April 30th, at 7:30PM.

World-wide exclusive breaking news here
The true identity of former Gawker writer Adrian Chen is tonight being revealed:
He is actually Adrian Chen of The New Inquiry.   Cheesy

Edit:
Chen is well known for raw investigative journalism and is certainly no stranger to controversy. In 2012, he won a Mirror Award for his story in Gawker revealing the true identity of Michael Brutsch, a Reddit moderator who oversaw several controversial forums such as r/creepshots and r/jailbait.

After the Newsweek fiasco of March, chances are that Chen has done his homework in the Nakamoto case and won’t make the same mistake that Leah McGrath Goodman made when she mistakenly reported a California retiree as being the infamous inventor of Bitcoin.

Most likely this is a weakass attention-grab for some no-name writer no one gives a shit about.

30 seconds of infamy, so to speak.

Remember Aaron Swartz, a 26 year old computer scientist who died defending the free flow of information.
