Interesting to notice that phcoin jumped about 3x the hash power in the last 48 hours after being listed on allcoin's exchange. Stats via block explorer: http://phcoin.no-ip.bizDifficulty 12.40638801 Network MH/s 859.204839 Mh/s the launch was about 7 gh/s ... can we get up there again, community? I believe we can double the 7 gh/s in no time... who is mining?

Your reaction is understandable because you misunderstood my statement for (the dark side) of the industry, and its normal to react this way because 'pump-n-dump' is going on daily in the digital currency industry. Let me refresh the plan of action that is taking place (outside of bitcointalk.org) since PHCoin is being introduced to miners outside of the digital currency industry, and I believe my excitement played a role in that statement. Sure, I am certain there is miners here from bitcointalk, which is why I am curious to find out (HOW many?) so I can tally up the marketing and promotional efforts. There is progress being made by introducing phcoin mining to new comers from external communities in/out of the Philippines. Maybe the exchange had no meaning to my statement, except that Philippines miners are starting to understand exactly how they can earn 'phcoins' while having their computer or laptop idle running the PHCoin Miner in the background. Not to mention, they now see its possible through an exchange and how easy it really is to exchange PHCoin into Bitcoin and convert into Pesos. I guess you wouldn't expect a tutorial on how to do this either from this team: http://phcoin.org/access/how-to-mine-phc-on-a-windows-pc-or-laptopand I am not asking anyone to invest into anything. I asked a question about who is mining, and stated some numbers. Transparency is one of Mike Scofield's key notes throughout the progress of this mission. I think you do have some good points about transparency that need to be brought out to light.

I do realize that I might have made a huge mistake here. I'll keep an eye on this project from a distance and won;t be posting anything for a while.
Nevertheless, I'd be interested in reading your comments about our concerns instead of comments about the hash rate...
My concern is price volatility/stability and liquidity. IMO, they would be important to both parties - employer and freelancer.

I hereby assure that I am the biggest miner pretty much all the time. I am not planning to dump huge amounts at any point in time because I really think that the effort the devs have put into this coin so far is beyond what we are used to for a coin at this age. There is not even the tiniest connection between me and the dev team. I am just spening a few BTC mining this because I believe that the devs might be able to pull off a decent project. You can never be sure of course, but I think that it's worth mining PHC as these guys at least try to think outside the very small cryptobox we are all currently into.

Will there be a separate website for the jobs platform? that is similar to Elance? So employers and freelancers can start signing up.

I agree with you in most parts. But one thing so far is for sure: the dev team is doing all but trying to build up hype around this coin. I also wish there was a little more activity right now from the devs. Nevertheless, we can't expect daily updates on any piece of progress they make. If we were to agree on a weekly update, that'd be nice.

I get cloudfare (wait 5 seconds) before comkort opens up. normal or not normal? anyone else getting this popup during the first load of the comkort link? Cloudflare is a company that provides web security frontend as well as other features if you pay for them. Its normal depending how comkort uses cloudflare.

It's DDOS protection mechanism for their website. It's good they have it. It's a bit annoying, but nothing to worry about. EDIT: It only appears on first visit. Not annoying at all. thanks for validating for me. I was worried the site was down, planning to deposit some BTC. Have you tested the account yet? Comkort looks like they have been around for a while.

What are you talking about??? Which currency will die DRK? It's up to the dev team to give the motivation for mining and trading. Let's wait for their announcements as long as required. There is no hurry. So far, they seem to try to build a product first. This is a good approach. By far better than other coins, which base their value upon hype and nobody would ever accept them as payment for work.
+1 good way to put it.

I do see a great plan here with its mission, maybe I should help spread the word a bit.
Please do, contact Mike Scofield or phcoin member id or phcoin.org website

2 days without update, without post... without anything... are this thread is dead? With current mining stats: 8 diffi, 640 Net Hash and 700 satoshi exchange: Investing .77btc into mining generates 1BTC in 12 days with 100-110MHs rental... 1BTC in 12 days netting .23btc. This coin is comparable to Dark and Crypt Coin. Dark came out in Jan 2014 and now is like $10 and Crypt is a month ago and is now $0.40. Get your PHC

Agree, and with that volume how would the freelancers convert their PHC to BTC/fiat? Businesses would want to buy low while freelancers would want higher prices.

Bitcointalkers Due to some aggressive progress and plans, we have to extend out the launch of the job platform before freelancers and employers can start the transaction process with PHCoin The PHCoin team is setting up fundamental resources for proof of premine which will be publicly displayed on a public section on PHCoin.org PHCoin is reverting away from bitcointalk and moving into our own resources and websites prefer forum discussions at www.phcointalk.org to stay up to date New development of client update PHCoin windows wallet v1.1 will be released in a few days. Pools and exchanges will be notified and will set to go live after block 50,000 This will be on centric focus of relationship in the future
