It's even possible to bypass tor if the programmer of the client wants to do that as it's javascript client running in your browser Not sure if they took care of tor, but in this case, I am pretty sure these sock puppet catches are real. I saw it as they caught mine, so I won't be stupidly denying like an "idiot" like others are doing in this thread.

I actually like they caught the sock puppets. It's good for the coin as sock puppets were going to dump anyway

Is this what is causing this. I ALWAYS use TOR when Im on the internet. Does this have something to do with this?

They have exact IPs and can pretty easily figure out if it's Tor. Besides, it's possible for javascript client to bypass Tor and do direct connection to their server.

If they are not associated with yours, it will be easy to check it. The probability that someone at exact  same time frame (or few days apart) from same IP (same city and same country) signed up is pretty low, so I think independent panel can easily reach the right conclusion.  

The probability is very low even for tor, but it's possible to check if the flagged IP is a tor.

According to the developers, panel will get the relevant private information. That's why there is a need for panel as private information can't be posted to public forum as that will harm sock puppets privacy.

Tor IPs will be flagged for either proxy or just spam.  It's easy to identify if an IP is a tor

I totally get you. No worries. Devs asked me to patricipate in the committee and I'll be fighting for every single person. Orginizing part is the weakest part of Node project. Hope I can help with it before people got totally mad because of devs decisions.

We should care a lot. Yes, the puppets will end up getting deleted from the list. But now you are labeled as a puppet master. That is not good. Also, who knows what these other accounts have done to people? Now YOU have done those possibly bad things to people. Thats my problem

The problem is the whole thing is going wrong. Devs should have been do their homework and contact possible puppets. Instead they just labeled a bunch of people as puppets. I bet at least 50% is false. I hope Node with launch one day and all this IPO/Auction/Puppet Hunting nightmare will be over.
