Hi Folks,
I seem to be missing something, I downloaded the latest version of the wallet 1.3.5 and left it to sync over night, but it didn't find a single connection and just sat there doing not a lot.
Any advice on how to get a fresh wallet set up? (all my coins were on swisscex, but now its closing i want to get the wallet ready to receive them again.)
once i have the coins sorted i'll be 1 step closer to having my game ready which will give away coins :-) (31billion CENT and 700,000 Dogecoins are the first coins that will be being given away in the game)
any advice on sorting the wallet would be awesome.
thanks

Thanks for the updated nodes, I never got to post my list. Updated client seems to be staking correctly.

I added the nodes from ciklop1974's post but only ever seemed to get 1 connection. heres my getpeerinfo
10:58:39 getpeerinfo
10:58:39 [ { "addr" : "95.85.5.8", "services" : "00000000", "lastsend" : 0, "lastrecv" : 0, "conntime" : 1426330714, "version" : 0, "subver" : "", "inbound" : false, "releasetime" : 0, "startingheight" : -1, "banscore" : 0 } ]
once again i left it all night and it didnt update a single block.
I checked the debug file and i seem to be getting "socket select error 10038" showing up multiple times every second. So i assume this is the cause of my issue, the only problem is i havent a clue how to resolve it.
if anyone has seen this behavior before please let me know. I spent a long time trying to aquire the coins and it will be a kick in the teeth to lose them because of a unexplained error.
thanks again for any help offered :-)
All the best

thanks for the nodes, i now appear to be getting connections (had 3 at one point :-) ) but they seem to continually vanish and reconnect, never managing to download any blocks :-( im still getting "socket select error 10038" showing up in the debug file all the time.

i've managed to get another wallet syncing on another laptop, but i still receive the 10038 socket error on my own machine, does anyone know what actually causes this as it would appear to be something specific to my laptop. im on windows 7 64bit. any advice would be great.
all the best

You have them on the first page of this thread. The latest version is 10.3.5 I personally use the 10.3.4 (I like the pig, xd)

No, I mean literally, how do you do upgrade from 10.3.4 to 10.3.5 without screwing it up and losing the data and pennies. If you have 10.3.4 on your computer do you just download 10.3.5 and it will magically convert all the data and pennies to the newer version without me having to do anything? Would I then delete the older version?

i dont tried with pennies wallet, but normaly, your datas are in hidden directory at c:/users/your_nick/AppData/roaming/Pennies. never touch this directory if you dont know what you doing!!! ;-). but your wallet is saved on other place and you can have more copies of it and or versions and they will still using same data directory. so you go just download new version and it will working (you have to close wallet application). after, with old version of your wallet you can do what you want.

Hi, I'm new to pennies. I can't remember how, but somehow pennies came to my attention. It grabbed my attention even more when I saw renowned names like Satoshi; Sunny King; Balthazar; pocopoco; and adam m! behind this coin and great devs Shakezula, The_Catman and Rozu. What really stands out about pennies for me, is that it seems geared for the younger generation, who will in a couple years be where others are today, and as such pennies occupy an important place in the crypto world (assuming the continued success of the coin). When I look at money supply it stands at 49,467,434,194,448! A hefty number for sure. There are definitely enough pennies around to make this coin work for a lot of people! I've developed a certain affinity with "savings interest" type coins. Pennies also has this feature but one thing I would like to see is an easier way (thinking of the younger generations of course) to unlock and lock your wallet to earn the interest, without using the command line.

I fully share your vision in this currency, but currently no DEV deals with it.

It is quite inactive at the moment, but don't forget about the CENT subreddit. I have updated the sidebar and crossed out the exchanges Pennies is no longer traded on. www.reddit.com/r/CENT
