Mining this coin is bit difficult at the moment, because there are only 3 pools that have it available, which has reduced the widespread distribution.

http://aikapool.com/cyc/index.php?page=dashboard wallet is offline and mining pool does not work.

The other one has an active mining pool:  http://www.coinmine.pw/

However, I've never been able to connect to that mining pool, not sure why

I was doing some quick calculations for miners and investors.

On an average day 16,771 CYC are produced each day. 29% off the official production schedule.

Of course, most POW coins with fixed block values are behind their official production schedules!

Could you explain the reasons why that happens?

I'm not sure, when you point your miners at a pool you usually lose about 5%-7% on your sgminer hashrate anyway.

I'd guess, even more is lost on the coin's server side as well, when you have static blocks timings with relation to the way the algorithm was set up to find blocks.
