good idea to go pow/pos hybrid, too many flashcoins lately, and this would be one of the only x11 hybrids. i'd vote 2% (not yearly) with min stake 7 days, max stake 21 days, try for similar to hbn and phs. i'd also like to see a block reward gradual reduction, maybe 5 or 10% reduction every 64800 (90 days) or so. just some ideas.

I would increase stake gradually to avoid dumping. Actually the whole staking mechanism has to be designed to prevent dumping the coin in the beginning of POS stage. Look at Summercoin - sad example. People dumped after initial huge stake and lost interest. But of course main focus has to be set on creating demand - unique twist, marketing, businesses, media. Without innovative technical feature and value recognition any coin will die quickly. Darkcoin is a good example of such activities. Bad name - great perception due to clever presentation and unique DarkSend feature.
