after this 3-0 defeat the only thing Brazilian players should be cheering about is finally its over for them ... no more humiliation , they can take a sigh of relief now .
I still believe Netherlands deserved a place in finals more than Argentina. lets see.

This World Cup they will never forget, they lost in their home like this can't believe.

It's really big humiliation for them. They must apologize with their nation and fans.

There still the final, Argentina still can get an easy win against the team that defeated Brazil by 7-1. Then the humiliation will be remembered(specially for Argentina) until all the stars become dark holes and there is no more life.

Brazil just keeps on proving how average they are. It had surprised me that a team with journey men like Fred got to the semi finals. With clowns like David Luiz its a shock they managed to win so many games.

Speaking of Luiz, he cost 50 million pounds! What a waste.
The only reason Brazil advanced was because of sketchy referee decisions. You can find at least one in -every- game they played. ( obvious exception Germany - Brazil ).

Atleast they're getting their butts kicked by Netherlands atm.

3-0, woohoo.

In all fairness to both teams, the officiating in this game was pretty awful.

Your absolutely right! It seemed as the World Cup has progressed, the officiating has gotten steadily worse! That being said, Brazil is not that good and are probably happy that this is all over!

Wow, 3 - 0
Brazil's World Cup campaign came to a miserable end as the hosts were convincingly beaten by Netherlands in the third-place play-off.

like our prediction before, Netherlands will defeat Brazil Grin
but i never think they will suffered by 3 goals
poor Brazil and Brazilians, maybe they won't try to become WC host again in next future Tongue
Congrats Netherlands, 3rd place is good place for them (although down 1 rank compared to 2010 WC)

I have my money on Germany to stop the Gauchos tonight
Their superior midfield and cohesion will negate the Messi factor

Especially since they know the Messi factor so well. Don't forget that Germany has faced and beaten Argentina already during the last two world cups. And especially 2010 when Germany beat Argentina 4:0 Argentina played a lot better up to that point than they did during this world cup. If Germany manages to score an early goal and by that destroy Argentina's match strategy I can easily see the game going a similar way as the semi finals against Brazil or the group game against Portugal.

Im literally shocked Brazil went out like that.....i doubt more than 3 of those players will ever play for the national team ever again.

Germany will smother Messi and it will be a great win for the Germans.

Awesome tournament all in all...and thankfully it was a great tournament since the next one is in Qutar!!

We wont even be able to see the ball or players in all the sand storms.

I agree. Overall this was one of the best world cups I've seen so far. Many very good matches. Many very exciting and thrilling matches.

But you're wrong on Qutar. Qutar is the 2022 world cup. 2018 is in Russia. And it is quite safe to assume that Qutar 2022 will be cancelled seeing all the chaos going on in the region. It is laughable anyways that everyone just goes on about the climate there, when the real problem is that you just can't guarantee for the safety of players in fans in the middle east. Too close by and too good a target to not plan on striking there from the view of all the fanatics and terrorists over there.

In my view they should just change the rules so that the world cup winner gets to host the next world cup.

Hosting the world cup is the only way some nations are going to get to play in the world cup.  Grin (Since the hosts automatically are guaranteed a spot).

There's no Qutar dude, the right one is Qatar
8 years from now, we can't guess what will happen in that region
maybe there is a peace there, or maybe there's no more Qatar Sad
just focus on World Cup 2018 in Russia
From Cold place like Russia in 2018, We go to Hot place like Qatar in 2022 Grin

Broke their streak of winning home games
http://www.latintimes.com/brazil-vs-germany-world-cup-semifinal-can-germans-end-host-nations-nearly-40-year-winning-189614

One of the most impressive winning streaks in the world is on the line on Tuesday in the World Cup Semifinal match between Brazil and Germany. In unprecedented fashion, Brazil has not lost a competitive match on home soil in almost 40 years.

The last time Brazil lost was on September 30, 1975 to Peru. In that game, Brazil was well on its way to a 1-1 draw when stunningly; Peru scored two goals in the final eight minutes to beat Selecao 3-1. Since that day, Brazil has gone an impressive 45-0.

We all know what happened when the streak was broken it was destroyed (too bad though not even a medal to take home in the end)

Winning your bet have chances of 55% so it's not bad at all. If I bet on germany, so I must bet to win the cup not win the match.
