DigitalCoin, MicroCoin and LiteCoin.

DigitalCoin has a great and active dev and a great community behind it. It's just a matter of time for the coin to gain it's old value again, but I'm sure we will see its value increasing in the future (and that's why most of my BTC's are in that coin). MicroCoin had a great launch (no premine etc), it just had to deal with some dump issues etc. But, I think it will gain value in the future again (and that's why I HODL my coins). 

LiteCoin? Because it has proven to be successfull. As soon as most of the Scrypt ASICs will start mining, its difficulty will go insane. I think that makes them more worth too .

Darkcoin, namecoin and Quark.

The reason for Quarks is cause of it's combination of good specs. See sig for details. There're 2 or 3 better and active cryptos though which haven't made it yet.

Darkcoin cause it has unique security features and DGW, but otherwise it's just like another alt by design.


Namecoin cause a decentralized DNS system was always required and it's need will never end. There's scope of improvements though in the economic front.

On second though, Darkcoin is pointless.

Worldcoin has 4 ways of merchant implementation, 10+ direct exchanges 20+ altcoin exchanges, 100+ merchants. It has a 30 second block time with a reduced orphan blockrate in comparison to Quark which has double the amount of orphan blocks. WDC isn't as fairly distributed as it could be but still has the potential to be unlike other coins which have a short mining period, WDC only has 55m/256m mined so far. Take for example blackcoin which is very very poorly distributed (55.5% top 100 wallets).

The alliance committee has 3 meetings a week with regular updates and the developer team is expanding to help bring out wallet updates etc faster. So think again, Worldcoin has everything but right now is lacking in recognition.

I am a new coin developer.
I had fun and I wanted my own coin (Not this one, I have another in the works).
I will maintain and support this coin! However, it is just a little fun for me and hopefully anyone else who decides to join.

So maybe the other coin will be here around next year or so, but a fun coin should not be listed here.

The PoS coins seem to be a popular choice. I picked black coin, white coin, and mint coin because they seem to be standing the test of time. Mint coin came out months ago, but still seems popular and I suspect the other two might follow the same path.
