We are working on Asiacoin source code improvements we have ready to launch system alerts included into a wallet would like to submit for discussion another important topic maximum stake ageas we know, maximum stake age had been coded as 10 years in April, 2014 it has passed without changes in Micryon source code now it stays at https://github.com/AsiaCoin/AsiaCoinFix/blob/master/src/main.cpp#L51in April, 2014 ( fourteen months ago - an eternity in crypto ) nobody was asking any question about ratio of minimum stake age 2 weeks to maximum stake age around 520 weeks ( ratio 1:365 ) nowadays, it is absolutely certain that such an ratio is an absurd Where da fuck did you read that? whole idea of POS is to suppport a coin network by staking. accepting 10 years max stake age does not support Asiacoin network at all and it is very bad for Asiacoin network security nowadays it is widely accepted that this ratio : minimum stake age to maximum stake age should be anywhere between 2 to 10 for network security, and optimum ratio should be 3 to 4 . - What?? who agreed that?? when?? changing maximum stake age involves a hard fork of Asiacoin as to community acceptation of limiting max stake age : we can with big probability assume that staking majority ( around 80% of Asiacoin holders are staking more or less regularly - visible in explorer ) will support limiting max stake age, and not-staking sleeping minority of around 20% would be not satisfied with this change - What kind of propaganda is this?? why you ask for opinion while you said what my opinion should be ?? we would like to ask all holders of Asiacoin to comment here and submit ideas as to proposed option of limiting max stake age by a hard forkwe would suggest optimum max stake age as four times minimum stake age that is 8 weeks. Still reasonable would be six times minimum stake age that is 12 weeks. The whole idea you propose is absurd. More people staking when you reduce the max staking age?? Maybe what should be proposed is a reduction of the min staking age!!!! in your text a lot of shouting but no single piece of information could you provide any data as : -do you know with other coins how much is the ratio minimum stake age to maximum stake age -your proposal : how much smaller minimum stake age should be? most likely, you follow closely a lot of different coins so this answer will be easy list of minimum stake age / maximum stake age for high stake coinsnumbers as */* = min stake age/max stake age Battlecoin (BCX) – 50% per year + 10 day minimum stake age /20 day maximum stake age Tekcoin (TEK) – 500% 30/90 Bottlecaps (CAP) – 100% 30/90 Diamond (DMD) 50% 7/30 HoboNickels (HBN) - 100% 10/30 Mintcoin (MINT) – 20% 20/40 Novacoin (NVC) - 100% 30/90 Philosopherstone (PHS) – 50% 5/10 will add more hi-stake coins to this list anybody knows high stake coins ( over 20% per year POS ) - please add to this list ! Incakoin (NKA) - 100% 90/? Incakoin (NKA) : 90 days min stake / 180 max stake : https://github.com/NKAKoin/IncaKoin POS rate : 1% Hyperstake (HYP) Annual Interest Rate - 750% Minimum Age - 8.8 days Maximum Age - 30 days Tekcoin (TEK) Annual Interest Rate - 500% Minimum Age - 30 days Maximum Age - 90 days Growthcoin (GRW) - small coin but with renowned developer Unick Annual Interest Rate - 100% Minimum Age for stake :5 days maximum weight :15 days more high POS coins (coin name) (coin symbol) ( annual POS rate) (minimum age/maximum age) Darsek KED 100,0% 30/90 GrowthCoin GRW 100,0% 5/15 Hyper HYPER 60,0% 5/100 ECCcoin ECC 25,0% 42/84 Zeitcoin ZEIT 25,0% ?/30 days Blade BLA 20,2% 10/30 Ghostcoin GHC 20,0% 20/40 Mintcoin MINT 20,0% 20/40 Paccoin PAC 400,0% 30/90 Truckcoin TRK 200,0% 8h/30 SuperCoin SUPER 100,0% 1/60 Sync SYNC 100,0% 6h/30 days Roman Coin ROM 30,0% 1/30 Digit DIG 116,0% 0,3/30 MammothCoin MAMM 50,0% 1/60 Legendary Coin LGD 50,0% 5/15 All developers of these coins ( some small coins, some much bigger than Asiacoin ) knew - Max Stake Age must be limited but original developer of Asiacoin ( missing since May, 2014 ) did not Just want to correction Min/Max Stake Age specs of some coins. I have been meaning to give asiacoin another go. My last attempt the wallet just consumed resources. Stopped responding to rpc calls and I had to kill the pid Ill give it another shot tomorrow night Asiacoin wallet always ( starting from Micryon wallet 2.0.0 May, 2014 and before ) had slow start : - up to 15 minutes asiacoin-qt is not opening GUI and asiacoin-qt looks as not-responding application. -Nobody ever complained for this in this thread, so we did not concentrate on this task - only when making fresh start from scratch with no blockchain loaded - then asiacoin-qt starts in few seconds

We managed to make major improvement of Asiacoin code - LevelDB Now Asiacoin wallets starts really fast even with large database, usually below 30 secondsAfter 2 weeks of testing now we publish new wallets New features: 1.Major improvement - Asiacoin wallets starts in less than a minute even with large database 2.MaxStakeAge 75 days. Earlier on this thread has been shown - no hi-stake coins has unlimited staking age ( as Asiacoin had 10 years - eternity in crypto ) 3.update of nodes 4.new alert key ( instead of Micryon alert key - unknown to anyone ) MANDATORY HARD FORK AT BLOCK 750.000More explanation: 1.as to our knowledge, at least 78% of all Asiacoin holders - that is all active users of Asiacoin - would use new wallets 2.that would mean at least 78% of all Asiacoin network would be in the new fork 3.if someone who never stakes, never reads Asiacoin thread, does not cares at all for Asiacoin - would try to use old wallets after block 750.000 - at best this would result in a minority hard fork, which would be not accepted by exchanges and not accepted by all new wallets. Most likely he would be not able to stake at all with old wallet. All releases : as usual - on sourceforge.net : https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/

Earlier on this thread has been shown - no hi-stake coins has unlimited staking age ( as Asiacoin had 10 years - eternity in crypto ) 3.update of nodes 4.new alert key ( instead of Micryon alert key - unknown to anyone ) MANDATORY HARD FORK AT BLOCK 750.000More explanation: 1. as to our knowledge, at least 78% of all Asiacoin holders - that is all active users of Asiacoin - would use new wallets 2.that would mean at least 78% of all Asiacoin network would be in the new fork 3.if someone who never stakes, never reads Asiacoin thread, does not cares at all for Asiacoin - would try to use old wallets after block 750.000 - at best this would result in a minority hard fork, which would be not accepted by exchanges and not accepted by all new wallets. Most likely he would be not able to stake at all with old wallet. All releases : as usual - on sourceforge.net : https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/23.07.2015%20v2.2.1%20mandatory%20hard%20fork%20block%20750.000%20MaxStakeAge%2BLevelDB/Oh fuck!! thought it was 69%

I backed up my wallet then started from scratch earlier today and it's over half synced already this new one is awesome, started syncing right away well done bittcoinn

Great work on the new wallet and fixing the staking and slow startup issues!
I was wondering if there is anyway to clear unconfirmed transaction from the wallet? For some reason, the Recent transaction list on the home screen of the wallet is showing all of my unconfirmed transactions at the top so I don't see my latest stake transactions when I open my wallet. This seems to be because when I look at the Transactions page, the unconfirmed transactions are displaying at the top of the list by default. If I sort by date in descending order, I see the latest stake transactions at the top of the list on the Transactions page, but on the home page, I still see the unconfirmed transactions at the top of the Recent transactions list.
