This is POS.

It´s ¨mining¨ for You coins cuz You are keeping them in Your wallet. This is like reward for this. (It´s not using Your CPU or GPU)

You will be able to use them in few hours.

I love the ACES dev for giving me my investment back Smiley

Anyone able to share there cgminer config for a R9 280x ? Finding it very buggy and I at 11 to stop HW errors etc..

Code:
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer --scrypt -I 13 -o URL -u Gambiman.1 -p x --auto-fan --temp-target 65 --temp-overheat 80 --thread-concurrency 11200 -w 256 -g 2 --gpu-engine 1025 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune -20 -E 1 --scan-time 1 -Q 0 --lookup-gap 2

Mining at 700+Kh/s. temp steady 65, no HW

Trade markets with Bitcoins ! Including Forex, Commodities and Stocks SimpleFX
Transfer Money accross borders with so little fee that it is silly !

Go to Settings... Options

than add the amount of coins to the 'reserve' box that you DO NOT want to stake with, this will prevent them staking and allow you instant access to them Smiley

Just wanted to say thanks to the dev team, coin off to a good start and orders being eaten up on Bittrex Smiley

Now that the first POW stage is over do we want to have a second look at the algo used for the second stage?  I know there was a fair amount of discussion over using Scrypt, X11 or Groestl.  Is it possible to implement an algo change for the second stage dev?  X11 does seem to be the flavour of choice at the moment, but I think a change to Groestl may help Silkcoin stand out even more than it does already.

We thought about that for a long time, but you know for us , POW phase is not that important, what matters is the POS phase.
But we needed the POW phase to avoid an IPO, and the fact that multipools and big farms mine this coin is not that bad since it's all redistributed through exchanges at low prices.

Yes the price will suffer during POW phases but as stated our objective is the POS phase. And even with scrypt, because coins being massively sold, we are getting a good distribution just look at the volume of Silkcoins traded per 24 hours since POW started-.
Remember both phases are 5-6 days mining, even if there is a lot of dump during these periods as long as there are believers and people to buy back from them we'll be okay, as will distribution.

Anyway this is just my point of view, the subject is not closed feel free to speak your mind, but also we'd really want to avoid a change like this, it's really not good for the coin, if we wanted X11 we should've launched it with X11 but changing now feels a bit wrong.

Please tell us what you think about this matter. We have about 20 days before next POW  Wink.

Hey, not sure about 280x but my 290 this is what I use:

--thread-concurrency 24550 -w 512 -I 20

I get about 840khs with this, and without the powertune and such, the fan stays quiet and the card stays pretty cool.

I'm sure there's a major process you have to go through first on MintPal. Either you get stealth added through large volume or you have to go through their voting process.
