Piece of advice guys, when you are renting rigs, you can always point them to a stratum proxy under your control rather than directly to a pool.
That way you can switch what they're mining in a matter of seconds at any time.

Just download the proxy from here:
https://github.com/slush0/stratum-mining-proxy
and point it to the pool with your pool workername and password (which will override whatever name and password the actual worker has set), for example:
Code:
mining_proxy.exe -nm -st -cu naph.x1 -cp x -o silk.suprnova.cc -p 3113
for mining SILK to my suprnova.cc account Tongue

Then just point all your miners, rented or otherwise to the proxy, and you can switch them all at once just by restarting the proxy with different parameters.

And you don't have to worry about delayed coin launches, you can just mine something else in the meantime and then easily switch everything to the just released coin as soon as the first pool is up.

Great piece of advice!! Does it support failover pool??

Change...is in the air.
You know why

Great piece of advice!! Does it support failover pool??

Don't think so.
You'd probably have to run two proxies on different ports (or from different locations in order to keep mining in case of connection problems) and set the miners themselves to use the second one as failover.

Although there seems to be a lot of forks on github, I wouldn't be suprised if one of them actually supported failover.

Would be great, betarigs doesn't support failover, or I have missed it compleatly

I had something strange actually, I had an account with them for another coin. When I logged in for SilkCoin and started mining I noticed that there was already a payout set and a payment address filled in. I changed it and changed my password but it was very strange, be careful.

GUYS... dgbpool was mentioned several times on other threads as a scam pool!!! the guy kept denying it, but several people claimed it was dodge. I would never mine there.

Subject:     About Cinni DGBPool Coins Stolen By Hackers
From: "Xiaoming Tang" <tangxm90@gmail.com>

All miners:

First of all, Thanks for mining with us.
Our cinni pool has lost all coins, all coins stolen by hackers. I cant pay
it for all good miners.

I'm sorry for that.

Hackers IP: 193.138.222.36.
Cinni Address: JYcuwU1SPgnBXA76uk8LH2rat7AjfXs2Zs.

All we lost coins is about 660k cinnis.

To prove  i'm honest man, if u understand chinese, then u will be know this.

Two qq group chat history imgs:

http://ww4.sinaimg.cn/large/a7e6241bgw1efnznxg8avj20ma0mpjvi.jpg
http://ww2.sinaimg.cn/large/a7e6241bgw1efnznvp9bbj20ma0mpn1v.jpg

Our pool has been hit 2000k cinns. At this time, i'm scared.

I affraid lost all coins, its worth so many btcs. And its not my coins.

The first things i see is enable the auto payouts. Then ,the balance drop
1200k, and next day i ask chinese miners withdraw they coins.

Cinnis is 3 days PoW, everybody know that, So, everybody knows cinnis is a
money coin.

I dont want to lost any coins from my hand. This pool is my first > 2G hash
pool.

I just a newbie as pool master .Not a scammer. Dont say scammer again and
again.

And sorry again. I have no coins for pay it for u.If my digibytes to the
moon, i will send u email.
Give the value of cinnis equals digibytes for u.

I believe bitcoin, and believe we will to the moon.

                                    by aki

DGBPool is either incompetent or thieves. I lost over 2000 CINNI. I was finding blocks for about 30 minutes, that were NEVER credited to the pool. Then the admin claimed that a hacker stole all the CINNI. I quoted his email to all the Cinni miners as evidence of at least their incompetence.

Avoid DBGPool...
