Back on my day, you just had to go to the bad part of town to get one. This seems safer.

People fear what they don't understand and they don't seem to realise that though, and just believe bitcoin is being used to buy bad stuff without even thinking about all the bad stuff that is bought with regular cash every day.

Not the worst thing they can buy with money. The problem is not in bitcoin, but in their relations with parents and breeding. When I was a kid I didn’t have even a thought of buying beer, in their age id’s are the last thing to think about.  Shocked

The media will try anything to put Bitcoin in a negative view. It's not like the kids don't buy fake IDs everyday using fiat.  Roll Eyes

It's awesome. I love these kinds of articles.

The kinds of people who read The Atlantic will buy fewer Bitcoins. This is great news for me because, in general, I prefer that those people have as little economic power in the future as possible.

On the other hands, a bunch of kids who didn't already know just learned that Bitcoins are immediately useful to them.

Bitcoin is winning the hearts and minds of the next generation, while undermining the older generations who've spent their whole lives running up debts and starting wars all over the world.

So, in the news report they said people were offering discounts for buying fake ID's with Bitcoin?

Jeez, that's smart. Telling people that at first, you could buy it without Bitcoin. Which is certainly obvious. People have been doing it for years, yet, they wrote that to target XBT/BTC? When the article even states you could obviously buy it with fiat?

A more concerning thing for me is the Military getting involved in video games to desensitize children to killing.
And throw on that offering college to 18 year old kids after a few years of becoming hired killers. (often times).
They should think of raising the minimum age of going in the military to 21, like alcohol.  Grin

We have bigger worries than fake ID's...

IAS

You know, a few years back, the IDF (Israeli Defence Force) would find its potential fighter pilots in video game arcades.

They'd keep on the lookout for the top scorers and then offer them positions in the air force.

That doesn't shock me. "Victory" at all costs, just wonder for who, or is that what?

At least they are not ordering a contract killer to get rid of their math teacher.

This problem will be solved when there is no longer an infinite amount of fiat money being printed and shipped directly to military industrial complex war profiteers.

Please see Bitcoin vs. Political Power

P.S.
Did you know President Eisenhower warned America about the dangers of the military industrial complex?

Clearly inflating money at will is a form of slavery, just too bad people en mass don't understand banking. Bitcoin/Crypto is our chance...

Very familiar with Eisenhower's statement. My favorite is Kennedy's speech on Secret Societies (They) killed him a few weeks later.

That is another problem indeed. I've been looking around a bit, they are average quality at best. It's not like you can't really find a person who knows a person that can make these. There are a lot of them going around these days.
