KRYP is not dead!

Please remember that we are just a team of 2, and we work full time, so yes, progress is slower than we'd like, but development continues.

As I mentioned on the previous page, we've got a problem with our testnet which is holding us up.  Some of you might have noticed that KRYP V2 clients have been on the main net, but it's just not right to do our testing on the main net or we could damage it!

We are considering releasing a minor update with more checkpoints to build the security of the main net, but our time is limited so we're trying to focus on finishing V2.

Don't forget that mining is really good with 15 KRYP blocks and low diff.

People are also buying up KRYP at really LOW prices - so low that the sellers must be making a loss as electricity to mine the coins is more expensive than the price they're selling them for.  I know this is making a few of you quite happy!  Grin

We'll keep you posted - if we were to stop development of KRYP - we would let you know, but we've put far too much work into the project to be giving up now.  We're trying to get things right now - NOT rush them!

Couldn't agree more - are you offering to help?  Grin

No, seriously, I couldn't agree more, and I hope that once it becomes more apparent what we're trying to do, that others will be interested in joining the team.  It is a struggle doing programming and trying to keep all sites and social media going as well.

I might create a community for those that might be interested in helping contributing to the project.  There are already a few helping out in whatever way they can, but we'd love to have more input.

We've just had a possible offer of having a professional video done - which if we can, we'll use to launch our new interface for KRYP

Update:

So I've finally got a work-around for our testnet problem that gets around the fact we started ours after the main net rather than before, and used a different merkle root for it!  We might still restart it, but for now it's stable and allows us to get on with things.

Finally! work is moving back to the interface - we'll keep you posted!  Grin

PoS cannot be secure, and it should be avoided. Only PoW can be secure.
I am not a cryptologist but it is what I have read.

Update:

We now have a properly functioning testnet - we had to re-start it due to errors we made when creating it.  This now gives me time to focus back on KRYP itself, and be able to test it reliably without affecting  the main network and blockchain.

POS is something we've looked at, but we're not doing it for now - we're trying to work out something a bit fairer, but that would come after the overhaul of the interface and terminology.

Thank you`for your continued support  Grin

Nice!  I don't sell mine.  I have about 130,000 KRYP but I have given a lot away as well on twitter trying to get more interest in the coin.
