No answer to the question if you will stick to the original plan of distribution and release the first coins as soon as wallet works (we are now way pass 50 validated accts)?
There is a wallet update required. Been having problems due to some people still opening the original wallet. I've have posted a few times now, asking everyone who previously downloaded the wallet to delete it. And also delete all files in the %APPDATA%/KryptKoin folder (except the wallet.dat file). The new wallet will be provided soon and then start sending out the first 360 stakes.

The initial supply is 17M. It's not the max money supply, like all PoS coins that is higher. Thank you for a straight answer. So, at what rate will new coins be created? i.e. how many above those needed to pay the 7%? 7% of 17 million is 1.19 Million, which is 32,600 coins per day. (in year 1) You say 30 seconds/block, that's 2880 blocks/day - so if the reward/block is over 1.13 more coin is being produced than will be paid out. Yeah, the question really is - How many coins are you planning on keeping for yourself? just to finalise this question asked originally by Lion few minutes before registration frenzy started, that is very valid. Is there any limit on the total number of coins , or the stake increases each year by 7% till Inf?
Waited to reply after reg had closed, otherwise would get buried! If you take a look at other POS coins, you will find only a small percentage of people stake. Compared to the amount who just keep on exchanges. So it won't generate exactly 7% per year on the current money supply. It's 7% on what you hold in your wallet. Forget about what it could be on the total money supply, it's possible but in reality won't happen. New coins are minted based on the coins you hold in the wallet. For example, BlackCoin it has 75M and a max supply of 1B. Since their POW mining finished it's not generated 1% on the full 75M supply. it's the same for every POS coin. KryptKoin has the same max supply of 1B, but would take a very very long time to reach that if at all. -------- I get 1 stake like everyone else, I'm going to rely on stake holders to donate for bounties and feature updates. If 80% of stake holders donate just a small amount we will have a healthy balance to work with.

Thanks KryptKoin for the answer. That seems a reasonable supply, as indeed, only a limited number of people is keeping coins in their wallets, despite possible PoS gains. Problems with the exchanges we had so far this year may slightly change this trend, but still one would not expect to have full 7% per years produced. And +1 to the idea of collecting the bounties among the stockholders.
