Does martingale really works?

i've seen it work to peoples advantage before, and it's also been their downfall, the martingale system does hold some weight to why most people use it
but in the long run gambling can't be predicted, unless you can count cards! there are very few people that choose to gamble for a monthly income, most of these people already have money to gamble, but there are some who don't have the money to eat or gamble but do it anyway! ill just SMH here for them now!

Card counting also doesn't work in local casinos, as they use 8 decks and shuffle when 2.5 of them are used (meaning at any given point, you can only know 25% of the cards). I've gone as far as counting exact numbers (i.e., keeping up with exactly how many a,2,3,4... came out) and always came up with at MOST a difference of only a couple percent before they shuffle. Not nearly enough to rely on.

You're changing it so that you have mostly small payouts, but frequently, and then one big loss that will cripple you. It's all in how long you play, the house will win if you play long enough.

In "reverse martingale", the player has to first set a quitting point, say for instance, he will quit after getting a 10-bet winning streak.
For each time he loses, he is going to lose 1 unit as shown in your example. And if he gets a 10-bet winning streak, he will win 1023 units and will walk away.

Of course, it doesn't work.

martingale works in the first ... so it is not advisable for a long run gambling..
 because if you do it will eat all your btc so you need to be careful about it.

Went to a casino took out $200 martingaled on black white odd even roulette, won 50% or $100.. Went to the bar drank a bit, came back won another $100 usimg same strategy then called it a night.. Won't go back for years anywhoo.

Martingale doesn't work in the long run, not because the site will learn about your playing style, but because a long enough loss strategy is just bound to happen in the long run no matter how unlikely the chance it is.
As an example, if you play x2 bets in a 1% house edge site, the chance for you to hit a "10 red streak" in the first 10 bets is 0.10787% but the chance to hit a "10 red streak" in 10000 bets is 99.53229% 99.53254%.

Edit: I copied the wrong element in my prob matrix. The 99.53229% is in fact the chance to hit a "10 red streak" in 9999 bets and the chance to hit a "10 red streak" in 10000 bets should be 99.53254%.

martingale is a successful strategy assuming if a player has an infinite bankroll for playing /gambling ,cause eventually when he wins he would cover all of his losses and profit on a side note..

it doesn't work in high bankroll if you are ready to risk 3 btc for 1 satoushi :3 it will be a crazy move
and for the most of site they put a bet limite so it's impossible to win with martingale
