The fact is there is no real Hong Kong people support this HongKongCoin or HongKetoCoin.

If you have time, you could read the original HongKongCoin thread. No real HK people accept this HongKongCoin.

If I were you, I would accept the death of HKC, and move on to other potential coins. Well ...  or you could develop your own coins.


By the way, HKC has just been delisted in the CoinMarketCap.

It is really amusing that this HKC changed from HongKongCoin to HongKetoCoin, now back to HongKongCoin.

A scam coingen coin that no real Hong Kong people support it.

let's see what happens next,
i also contacted some reasonable people in hongkong to get their opinion.

since both original devs disappeared anyone could take over, the coin is opensource and not on any exchange.

i propose a re-branding of "hongkong coin v 2.0" or something similar as the name and keep HKC.

i seriously hope that some hongkong based crypto professionals, who are able to see the difference between blind nationalism and working together on a coin project everyone involved could benefit from, could step up and help to sort out the mess and make this coin useful again.

the energy spent on constantly bashing HKC could be used more wisely.

SHA256, difficulty retargeting algo as well as nation/city-based coin are already out dated

Rebranding is not useful at all for a coingen based coin.

If you have carefully studied HongKetoCoin's source code, you will know that there are inconsistencies, which are the common problems of bitcoin-based coingen coins.

So rebranding is not good enough. You need a clean hard fork to make HKC becoming a really workable one.

just think about the brandname *HONGKONG COIN* which could be just taken over and used for something more cool than scammy shite.

geocoins might be an old hat but why not save the name for something better?

more ideas coming soon, look at what asiacoin community managed to do etc.
