The Windows wallet download is hosted on Amazon S3, which is extremely reliable. We aren't using questionable upload sites like Mega, like many scamcoins. Please also note our 100% clean
VirusTotal, which is very rare for Windows wallets! Additionally, the Linux source compiles without any errors -- we have a number of professional developers on our team, and take pride in our work.
As far as an update on progress with things --
We are now almost done with two full days of mining! Remember that the regular mining period for proof-of-work (PoW) will last a total of 8 days, until we reach block 25000.
We have setup our official block explorer, at
http://explorer.mastiffcoin.com. We recognize the importance of having a public, reliable record of the blockchain after seeing many coins released with huge instamines, hidden blocks, and other scams. We are dedicated to providing transparency and accountability.
Of course, we are also happy to add any other third party block explorers for MastiffCoin to the ANN post if anyone would like to contribute one; however, please note that we are unable to provide large bounties for basic Bitcoin-ABE block explorers -- anyone can set that up in a very short period and there is no guarantee you will continue to host it. If you can offer a more elaborate block explorer, we're certainly open to discussing a bounty for that.
As we've already mentioned previously, our team believes in doing things correctly and we are happy to offer as much transparency into the coin as possible, including a complete accounting of premine coins. For easier tracking of the premine coins, here's a brief history:
Block 1 had the premine coins (1% of total coins - 27068 MAST), and our primary developer's miner mined the following 6 blocks within a few seconds before he exited it, so for complete transparency we'll include those additional 6 blocks (1056 MAST) in the premine accounting.
