Our community has slowed down to a simmer again.  There were no participants in last week's raffle, MrData has mentioned having pretty low turnout in the Amazon Birthday raffle, and our price continues to decline over the past 7-days on Cryptsy.

There is only so much I can do as part of the dev team!  What are you guys looking for?  Any new ideas out there or suggestions on how to pick things up?  The last round of suggestions resulted in some price movement and the raffles.  I'd love to hear more of your suggestions.

200 and falling?.. Hmmm. Hidden buyer, slowly, without demonstration of any movement... loading continuously... When he will jump? After week, two, three? How much he want to prebuy?.. Going for pop corn :|

I think it may be as simple as there is little support on the Buy Orders side and the miners are just mine and dumping, with no new orders coming in...  I'm afraid the price won't recover without a drastic change in either the block reward structure or the community surrounding the coin.

We've got to come up with a way to increase demand... and the Silver & Amazon Card stores, plus the raffles just aren't as effective as we originally hoped for.

I hate to say it, but this coin may be dying.  The price stayed so steady before the Coin Revival fork because the value was trapped in to a "frozen" block chain.  I'm afraid when we fixed the block chain, we basically opened the pipes, allowing the value to slowly drain out through Block Rewards being introduced to the market faster than demand can handle.

As I mentioned in my previous post, this coin belongs to the community.  If anyone has suggestions or ideas on how to move forward, please shoot those out here or PM me.

Maybe Max Keiser can give this coin some rep.  His last show he was harping on about crypto bullion, this coin has both.
So get tweeting.

How about promo video about coin? About metals, about exchange to metals, about raffles and coin info - how much, no premine, algo etc. And spread it?

Thanks for those two suggestions.

I'll do some research on who Max Keiser is, and try to reach out.  Do you happen to have a twitter handle for him?

The promotional video is also a good idea...  I'll have to do some research to find open source or free software for video editing.

On a positive note, I think we've found our floor.  At about 160 - 170 satoshi's, we seem to be steadying out.  Either that's our natural floor, or the price point where it's no longer worth it for mine and dump / market manipulation tactics...  In either case, a steady price point gives a solid foundation to build upon.

Max Keiser is the most watched TV presenter in the world.  He has 3 shows a week on RT. Max as in maxcoin.
here's the twitter page.
https://twitter.com/maxkeiser

The crypto-bullion video can be found on the RT site under 'shows' or on the www.maxkeiser.com front page, on the right hand side, entitled "one-two-punch"

Thanks to Matory for pointing out the Block Explorer had frozen up.  This was related to a server upgrade which changed the host IP address.  I've updated the records with our DNS.  If you are experiencing issues, please clear your browser's cache and reload.

In theory, there is no max coin supply.  We will continue to offer 48 SPT / block indefinitely, with no plans to halve.  Right now, there are currently about 7.5 million SPT in circulation.  You can see this at http://explore.thespt.com/ on the ticker.

No raffle tickets were purchased for the 7/18 1 gram silver raffle.  I've bumped MrData's $25 Amazon Gift Card raffle on 7/21 to the top of the list and updated to reflect the next silver raffle on 7/25.

Get your raffle tickets now, http://www.thespt.com/exchange!

Yea, that's the hard-coded amount in the source.  It'll take us decades to get there though.

Every time I think we have hit the floor, it just keeps going.  The multipools are killing us with the mine and dumps.  I've got to find a way to get demand for the coin up...  It's the only thing that will combat the constant selling!
