Through reverse engineering I have extracted the modified kernel source code. http://pastebin.com/XxLpewZH

Tips are appreciated.
I should also mention that changes to sgminer might be needed to accomodate this new kernel. I don't have any plans to do it.

no need to worry about reverse engi it atm, but your work is appreciated. just use pool gaurd.
to the person who made this updated kernal, thanks but we pay enough in fees with pools and transfers.

I have already reversed it Smiley, I posted the kernel with the supposed speed improvements. http://pastebin.com/XxLpewZH

But it might not work without making sgminer compatible !

well i can also verify that it works, all 4 of my 280x are hashing away at 3100khs, 7950's are at 2.7mhs and 6950 at 2mhs, and thats with cpu mineing optop Cheesy

Actually there are a few steps that need to be done to before you can use this kernel, like deleting old .bin files, replacing darkcoin.cl with the contents of that kernel in the link(make a backup though)..

i actually have no idea how to build the kernal into the wallet hence why iam useing pool guard as a bypass for the time being.

Have you measure your rig's power on the wall to know if the increase in hashrate compensate the increase in power consumption? HAS ANYBODY CHECK THAT?Huh?
On 6870 I measured 10W less with his miner (and 30% higher hashrate)
On 290 - 15W more... but it seems newer Radeons benefit more...

Replaced darkcoin.cl with yours posted, no speed increase in sph-sgminer.

Quote from another thread, how to disable 2% fee.

found away around the 2% of the girino-miner...
use CGwatcher to start the miner...
look at this cgwatcher log:
Code:
Attempting to remove pool 0 (stratum+tcp://drkp2pool.girino.org:7903)...
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        Current pool is stratum+tcp://***mypool***
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        SGMiner pool 0 was removed successfully.
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        Unauthorized pool removed successfully.
[21/05/2014 16:43:04]        SGMiner was successfully restarted.

on linux you could probably:

echo "127.0.0.1 drkp2pool.girino.org" >> /etc/hosts

windows has a similar hosts file, if I remember correctly.

Its been asked few times but didnt see an answer. How to make this sgminer use .conf file instead of bat. Or at least is it possible to make bat file out of conf ?

Thank you

Thank you
if x.conf is your config in same folder as executable (usually it's sgminer.conf tho)
Code:
set PATH=%PATH%;./dlls
set TERMINFO=.\dlls\terminfo

sgminer.exe -c x.conf

pause

I started 2 identical rigs 6x 280x

1. Old shp-sgminer running 9.7413 MH (cgminer stats)
Real stats form nicehash and real BTC profit:
https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=miners&a=3&addr=185E1ot7kikD8T1qr7nsxgfvaW3yr5g7H1

2. New this miner running 13.9681 MH (cgminer stats)
Real stats form nicehash and real BTC profit:
https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=miners&a=3&addr=19SS44aZniLQRc45oFLGaSC8fszDA67kMn

Lets see how it goes for Real profit.

Didn't work for me either Sad

I replaced the contents of darkcoin.cl with what was linked. I deleted all .bin files besides the one I use to launch sgminer. Using sgminer 4.1.0-96-g983e.

Miner wouldn't even start for me so I'm probably doing something wrong...

As I mentioned this before, it is possible it doesn't work without modifying sgminer to work with it. Strange though, a user claimed it compiled the kernel for him.

Verified Higher hashrate on 3 pools I use regularly.

Best increase was on my 270x Rig: 1450 to 1990 hashrate . So 270x(5) rig went from roughly 7Mhash to 10Mhash.  Temps up just a few degrees, very negligible. Power up only 30 Watts on Kill-A-Watt to total 570 Watts on a 5 270x GPU Rig.  Love the x11 mining for the summer so far.

Tried newer upload and I do indeed get temps and fan speed back in SgMiner.
CGMiner seems to work well also.  Using Windows 8.1.

A couple of API errors every so often, but has been running nonstop overnight.

Seems legit so far, hope this helps someone.

I've obtained the kernel through reverse engineering, someone must take a look at the kernel and tell us if it brings any actual speed improvements.
