Honestly have no idea what is wrong, I have tried connecting both directly and through my proxy and same result. Though with my proxy it says one active connection but Im sure that is the program just cycling peers and instantly disconnecting so still not useful.

I have already changed from Linux to Windows and still getting the exact same problem I was.
