we just waiting for the final upload from Bushstar.  He has the exact block #, but it will be sometime on Monday 3rd September.

We already spoke to the pools and exchanges, they will be updating to the new official version from the official thread (here lol )

Check back later today for the latest Talkcoin release with hardcap, core clean-up and voting / hidden funds removed.

I think before hard fork takes effect,'TalkTeam' should have sufficient communication with the community.

It's full of FUD and newbie Chinese member posts, but I don't see any need to close it really. Anyone with half a brain can see what's going on.

The TalkCoin team are doing all the right things and we, as one of the main TAC pools, will be moving forwards with them - as I hope will all the other pools and exchanges.

People posting stuff like "talk coin will never recover from this" etc.. that's just ridiculous and is probably mainly posted by those who have dumped their coins already. Once new developments start being released human nature (greed!) will kick in and everyone will want back in - simple as that

I just read

Talkcoin was released on 4th May 2014 and (as of 4th August) total supply is ~7 million TAC, and block reward has been reduced from 25 TAC per block to ~15 TAC.

Doing something properly costs money.  Bushstar is a top tier consulting developer and his time doesn't come for free.

You see, the developer, bushstar, displayed absolute bare minimum competence when creating this coin. One of the most basic steps of creating an altcoin is to create a new genesis block. This is the block that the entire blockchain will build off of, and is one of the key differentiators between coins.

But bushstar, in all his incompetence, couldn’t figure out how to create his own genesis block. Instead of admitting defeat and that he had no business launching a coin, he did the next best thing he could think of: reuse the litecoin genesis block, and put in a hardfork at the first block. This makes feathercoin a fork of litecoin, a “distinction” that few coins have.
