Love the blake ecosystem...

Just one question - any other experienced pool operators working on setting up additional merged blake pools?  As more coins get added to the ecosystem, I'm thinking this will be key or we will have 5+ coins with lopsided distribution..

Hoping more are willing to jump in..

Thanks for your work and code BlueDragon!

Most devs just change PoW algo but using Blake-256 which is faster than SHA-256D I performance enhanced the whole wallet by about 3x its why so many can be merged on a server and why it has some compatibility issues with other coins especially the merkle root hash and checksums all Blake-256 vs most coins SHA-256D (PoW algo is just for work on most coins)

Is the signing algo different? AFAIK the slowest thing on the wallets is ECDSA so that should be the first thing to enhance if one is going to make wallets go faster.

The wallet is almost all Blake-256 the checksums are all Blake-256 and wallet uses that a lot for most of the block checking so yes faster yet offers about same security as Bitcoin due the the algo's structure e.g HAIFA

Sorry for insisting, but did the signing algo change? Does all the Blake based wallets have something else besides ECDSA or is it still the same and/or different curve than secp256k1?

ECDSA . secp256k1 . but with Blake-256 not SHA-256D

Sooooooooooo... what's it cost to mine this? Huh, huh? Trying to figure out a fair bid.

It is not solo miner its merge mined and not multi pool or any bs

What is Merged Mining? Familiarize yourself now: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/273/how-does-merged-mining-work

so from mining you get all 5 coins with merged pools, all coins are listed on exchanges

should be 2 more coins joining the merge by next weekend

No one has sold this coin for less than 10k. And if you do, you're throwing away money and should just ship me your ELT to trade for you. Seriously.

Don't let the total coins fool you. The block reward is 20 for 1 year, then 10 for 1330 yrs!

Only around a million per month this year will be produced. I can buy every coin in existence right now at 10k for only 10 BTC... and I damned sure will.

hehe

my bags are also open to any dumpers selling cheap coins  Grin

How many Electron mined a year?

The block target time is 1 minute.  The initial reward for the first 525,600 blocks is 20. So the first year should be around 60 * 24 * 365 * 20 = 10,512,000
After block 525,600, the block reward reduces to 10 per block, so should be 60 * 24 * 365 * 10 = 5,256,000 per year

Updated the op with new info and links. Thanks to everybody for the support so far.

Mining Rig Rentals is the first (to my knowledge) rig rental site to support Blake-256!

Renters:

  • Make rental choices based on "actual" hash rate. Their system tracks the past 24 hour hash rate with a moving average.
  • Backup pools! Have you ever found yourself trying to be ready for a coin launch only to find out your first pool choice isn't up and running? Their system takes care of that, by letting you set up 5 pools in a fail over.
  • Backup pools! Have you ever found yourself trying to be ready for a coin launch only to find out your first pool choice isn't up and running? Their system takes care of that, by letting you set up 5 pools in a fail over.

Rig owners:

  • Website pool manager. Their system allows you to change what pool your miner is connected to right from the website. Allows 5 pools to be configured with fail over.
  • Hash rate graphs!
  • Algorithm choices include: Scrypt, Scrypt-N, x11, SHA-256, SHA3, and now Blake-256!
  • There is no fee to use the site/service for the miner controls or hash rate graphs. You never have to list your rig for rent if you don't want to.

Not sure about the whole "renting thing?" No problem, it's 100% free to list your rig with their service and the backup pools/hashrate graphs are completely on the house. If you decide to try leasing your rig in the future, you will already be setup.

They have lots of website/interface improvements in the pipeline, with a very active development team.

Still have questions? Drop by irc.freenode.com and join #miningrigrentals All suggestions are welcome.

This coin seems to be the dirty little secret of savvy traders. Block reward of only 20, no premine, and it's going for 10k as people load up and say as little about it as possible.

SSsssshhhhhhhh  Cool

Trying to compile from source from the github repo on Ubuntu, I get the following error:

auxpow.cpp:127:1: fatal error: opening dependency file obj/auxpow.d: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
make: *** [obj/auxpow.o] Error 1

There is no obj directory in fact, that might have something to do with it.  Did I miss something or repo missing something?
