The pool at http://mining.coreco.in/workers is easy to set up but lacks a lot of the detail that people like when it comes to seeing whether their mining activity is productive or not. How often does this pool payout? Also, how can one check to see how many coins one has accrued?
Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

nomp pools pay out as soon as a block is confirmed.  Nothing "builds up".  I'll check the settings to make sure, but I believe I set it up to pay out immediately to the wallet as soon as a block is found.

Okay, I just verified the settings.  http://mining.coreco.in pays out every 30 seconds IF you have accrued 50 coins or more.

Since there are no actual accounts on this pool its a little more difficult in displaying how much each "address" (like here http://mining.coreco.in/workers) is accruing in coins.  Some people may not want their coin amounts out there in the public.  I'll play around with some of the code to see if I can figure out a middle ground.  But if you need more stats, you can always mine Blazecoin on a traditional MPOS pool at http://blz.pool.mn/

With this kind of pool, you keep your own stats. You are paid immediately and there is no account and no balance. It's more secure imo, because the pool isn't able to steal from you and no one can hack your account.

looking now... FOUND it... an invalid address was used by a miner... which was causing payout issues.  I'm getting it fixed right now.

Okay, you should have all received a pretty big payout.  Send me a PM and I'll give you a little extra for the "pain and suffering".  I have installed a verification on the Blazecoin address.  Turns out a .1 was in the address by accident by someone and that was causing the issue.  I have added some code to "shelf blocks" that this happens to in the future to allow good blocks/payouts to happen on schedule.

Just pushed a post on the trust factor in crypto currency over on the Blazecoin website.

http://blazeco.in/news/#news4

This is the precursor post that will lead into my next post where we can talk more about why Blazecoin was created, what is the purpose of the volunteer fire department matching grant fund, how it will work, and what sort of incentives are being prepared to be rolled out to early adopters of the Blazecoin.

Let me know what you think of the post.  Do you agree with it?  Do you think we need more transparency?  More anonymity?

+100 And agree with you. I also agree that anonymity would be nice as it is for any coin this days.. so it Would be also great for Blaze Coin (BLZ) if it really possible Smiley. Anonymity iplemintation is great thing and it should really work. Now All coins was X11 those wich tried to implement Anon technology but Blaze Would be Scrypt one supported with asic miners in near future.   Wink

This coin needs more momentum. There's hardly any interest because you're not doing anything that appeals to most miners and traders. This could be a popular coin with the right marketing.
